You talk as if Willis is the only pitcher there when he would only be in there one inning max. Hate to tell you but their are other guys in that rotation just as good as Willis because last time I checked Willis was not the whole league.

Willis is winning for our team. If the Marlins make the playoffs, and make it to the World Series (long shot) I want to have home field advantage again. I think you would agree the same for the Phils if they made it.

Yes I do want HF advantage but their is other pitchers on the team that can get the job done but of course this Arguement is pointless if Dontrelle pitches and I do want to see him pitch.

It makes me mad that Dusty tells two pitchers who are on the active All Star Roster that they won't pitch. What if they are in the 12th inning tied and need one of them? What will happen then?

I'd rather see Willis pitch 1 inning or less than one inning because I don't want see Willis unused if it's tied late in the game. Because he might have to go more than 1 inning if it goes to extra innings.

No he isn't. Baker is one of the better managers of our time IMO.

Good players can get you anywhere. He isn't good at managing in the close situations with his bullpen and pitching staff. He has a good bullpen in Chicago, yet they always blow games, why? Dusty doesn't pull the trigger and bring in the right pitcher at the right time.

Well, Last time I checked The Cubs are doing better this year than they were last year.

 

Also most around here blame The Marlins string of losses in the early part of the season on bad managing.

 

Well if Managing matters like you and others have said I guess Dusty is a good manager.

The Cubs have changed this year. They got Remlinger in the Pen and they have gotten Choi, Grudzielanek, Karros, Miller, etc. It has changed quite a bit from last year, and they still aren't in first place in the central.

The Rockies had some good pitchers and what happened without a good manager so please don't try to bring this arguement up. Just on the fact that you don't like it he is not going to play Willis.

Mets suck. The pot got to them last year :lol They weren't very good players, the New York Pressure Cooker continues to work on players.

 

I think Dusty is a terrible manager, whether he uses Willis as a starter or not. He doesn't handle pitchers well and it shows year after year. Any other manager in the NL right now would be better than him to manage our all star team that is heavily dependent on pitching.
