More TO gossip, ughhhh.

Get to the Marlins already!

Marlins are next in line for discussion.

or not.. he said on cold pizza that he liked our rotation.. oh well

Buy or sell the Marlins having the best rotation in baseball...

Mariotti: Buy

Woody: Sell - Yankees

JA Adande: Buy

Blackistone: Sell - Braves

That was a lame discussion.

Its not that far fetched you can argue (CAN argue, dont bite my head off)

Smoltz = Beckett

Hampton = Leiter

Hudson > Burnett

Thomson < Willis

Ramirez > Valdez

With a bigger difference between Ramirez and Valdez than Thomson and Willis

i want to hit kevin blackistone in the head with a chair because he said the braves rotation is the best in baseball and that they OWNEd us in a pitching duel the last two games of the series...or could it be that we couldn't hit? our offense is far supperior to theirs.

woody paige was being funny man as always reading a book during the show.

I am really impressed with the Marlins staff so far. They have the lowest era in the league. So far so good.

Not to mention the best allowed average in baseball, .195

whoo, go fish! :D

Can't argue with that logic, but by the time the year is up, I'd suspect that Burnett will at least be on par (if he isn't already) with Hudson, and Beckett will move into that upper level of starters where he belongs.

Hopefully Wiley or Leiter can teach him how to PITCH a little better, as opposed to throwing... If he had a veterans head on his shoulders with that stuff he'd be Cy young level not only on Hudson level...

Based on what I saw last season, looks like Burnett knows how to pitch.

And based on what little we have to base on this season, it's looking like Beckett and Willis are up to par, too.

Even though he's not on our team anymore, you could say the same for Brad Penny as well.

Did you watch his last start at all or did you just glance at the television from time to time?

Ok how many changeups did he pitch last game since you were watching every pitch?

Ok how many changeups did he pitch last game since you were watching every pitch?

Knowing how to pitch is not determined by how many changeups you throw. Maturity is shown by being able to get out of situations cleanly and with as little pitches as possible, and being able to get a W on an off night, meaning a K pitcher can put a game in the defense's hands. AJ did that and went the distance, but he's not a pitcher?

I'm baffled.

Awesome post.

I think the game A.J. pitched was the best display of actual pitching of any pitcher all season in the majors outside of Dontrelle, in either start.
