You left out the part where Mota blew the game. ;)

Like I said, you all "forget" how the players lose the games sometimes. Thanks for proving the point.

Jones didn't lose the game, the ump didn't Jack didn't. Mota was on the mound, and let Ray-Ray connect and get the runner in.

744696

Jones is as resposible if not more responsible than mota. The pitcher that gives up the 1 winning run isnt the one that 'loses' the game (im not tlakin statistically). If a pitcher gives up a run and his team loses 11-10, you also ned to distribute blame to the other pitchers that allowed the 10 runs. Jones, Mota lost the game, with the Reliford's help.

744702

I am not saying there is no blame on Jones, but he gave a game recap there and mentioned the ump, Jones, Jack and left out Mota. If you want to place blame, put it all over. Looking at these boards I see "Fire Bill Robinson" all over. Not "Give Lowell a rest" or "Lowell sucks" threads. I doubt his hitting below .200 is helping matters.

I feel they should distribute the blame, and on here that doesn't happen, or it is not distributed to everyone. The Brass, all the way down is to blame if the team doesn't succeed.

I hate to do this, but I agree

Here's the big difference, Lowell is a proven performer. Does he stink right now? Yes. McKeon, though, has been mismanaging for two years now. 2003 is looking more and more like one of those one year flukes where every move he made worked out even though they were the wrong moves, statistically. Now it's catching up with him. Leaving Jones in when he clearly wasn't effective to face Beltran was bad, but letting him face Piazza was moronic. Then he brought in Mota for the ninth. If the game had gone extra innings, Mota was due up first. Why wasn't Mecir left in or anyone else so you can pinch hit and still have Mota if you get the lead? It's as if McKeon has no foresight at all. He's managing on the spur of the moment. When you get to the eighth inning, and you've outlasted Pedro with the lead intact, the hard part is done. This is a continuation of last year, and none of the players or management seem to care. The lineup never changes, players never get benched, no one is held accountable for their performance. :banghead

Mota blew the game. It was tied. Ump call aside the game was going on. Should we just throw in the towel everytime an ump makes a bad call? Later in the year we'll get a couple calls and it will even out,it always does. But we did get the game tied and into the 9th. And Mota showed his inability to handle th 9th inning, again.

Jones won't see a lead in the 8th for a while, most likely.

Its not new that the people on here hang it on something than the players.

Yesterday some people sympathized for Josh, even though he mis-played a couple of the balls himself, and then went on to bash Bill Robinson again.

No, what's not new here is that you just come on here and try to pick a fight like the f***ing little prick you are. Maybe, just maybe, you should actually feel something if you give a f*** about what the team does. However, since you aren't a real fan you just pose as one so you can start a f***ing problem with whoever is more pissed at the moment, you don't care when they lose and you don't get happy when they win. You're single point here is too be a less intelligent version of SorianoFan. f***, at least he wasn't a wolf in sheep's clothing. Stay away from the f***ing Marlins board, we'd like it if people who actually cared about the team or fans of other teams that didn't start a damn fight were the only ones that posted here.

I say give Lowell a rest tommorow to clear his head a bit. Maybe that will get em' back in the "swing" of things. I mean, when he cant even hit a deep fly ball for a sacrifice, the guy is in a bad one. Bring in Niner tommorow to play left and Cabs back in at 3rd.

I am not the one who makes these things personal. Look back at this thread, I made a post, not replying to anyone, and you Juanky immediately respond with name calling. What kind of civility or intelligence does that show?

I post the facts and truth and correct people where they are wrong. If they make it personal, that is their own faults. It is not my fault they can't take that they have mis-spoken or been wrong.

Take your friend Accord here. He still has provided no proof of where Ramon Castro pleaded guilt, even though he said explicitly he did. He also explicitly said no innocent man has ever pleaded no contest and I promptly found proof refuting that, and he hasn't found proof to back up his own statements. Yet he is okay with lashing out in personal attacks. What kind of civility or intelligence does that show?

I think some of you need to look in the mirror and get off your high horses. I don't provoke this stuff, I post facts, usually backed up, and you guys flip out because it is in contrast to what you say or believe. Or you all just attack first, like you did here.

I don't think you realize how many people on here think you're annoying and flat out hate you. You get involved on a daily basis in these absurd arguments that last 10 hours, it is totally ridiculous. Everyday someone proves you wrong and you can't handle it, so you change the subject and start arguing over stupid things like symantics.

Every single thread you post in is immediately ruined and you turn it into a gratuitous argument that spans a countless number of pages that nobody even reads or cares about.

You spent your entire Friday night at home in a 7 or 8 hour argument over mindless garbage that nobody even cares about. This began at around 7pm going all the way to ~2am and you'll most likely be doing the exact same thing tonight, which also happens to be a Saturday night. That is sad.

I will not reply to anymore of your posts that are directed at me, it's just not worth my time because I know for a fact you'll turn it into a argument spanning numerous hours at the very least, regardless of what the subject is.

Nobody cares.

Your answer to everything is another question, you obviously do it to just prolong an argument. You don't care what the subject is or what you're arguing, you just argue for the sake of arguing because you have nothing better to do. In your own twisted way, you somehow take pride in annoying an entire community.

Arguing with you is like rubbing your finger nails on a chalk board, grinding is the only word to descrive it.

Enjoy your Saturday night out on the town... oh wait.

Das, this time it was warranted and replays confirmed that Cabs was safe. Had the ump got the call right, Castro's hit would have tied the game, not won it.

I ask the questions to show that people like you can't answer them because they are the ones looking to prlonging the argument. It is simple, where did Castro say he pleaded guilty? If you could answer that, that arguement would be over in a snap, but you press on to other topics, forcing me to ask the same question over and over.

I offer and end to an arguement because I am asking a question, generally people won't answer them because they realize the true answer is in conflict to something they originally said and rather drag on with pointless comments without answering the questions.

Look, you and Juanky still haven't answered who provoked who in this thread. Why not? Because it might show you two how baseless your arugements are?

Learn to embrace the truth its simple.

Like I said, your ability to lie and then not acknowledge it when you are proven wrong speaks alot about the person you are.

If they want to hate me, thats fine. Life is not all about people throwing themselves at your feet and praising you. Everyday people prove me wrong? How about some evidence? Have you proved me wrong? Have you showed me where Castro pleaded guilty yet? Or have you proven where no innocent man has ever pleaded no contest, because I have proven they have.

This thread was not ruined until Juanky decided to shoot back with an attack. Look back, who provoked who? I can't stop people who decide to jump on top of me. If no one reads or cares about it, then no one would post replys.

What I find sad is people will make a statement, that is a flat out lie, and then can't admit they were wrong because they were (A) just out to lie or (B) too lazy to check their facts. Because it speaks alot about what kind of person they are.

Enjoy your Saturday night out on the town... oh wait.

I'm done with you and like Juanky I will not be making another reply to you.

Why has this Thread gone so off track?? This forum is slowly turning into a personal vent of steam toward other posters.

Phisphan has a point, everyone is calling for someone's head instead of just looking at the players and acknowleding they're underperforming and being unconsistent.

On the other hand, maybe getting rid of Bill Robinson will help the Bats if someone can come in and make a difference. But, the question is who will replace Robinson?

The Marlins should have never been in the situation they where in the top of the 9th. The Umpires didn't ruin the game, our relief pitching did.

Where was Jack!!! :mischief2

I was wondering about Lowell and I think it was Delgado. They were swinging like they were trying to strike out. I wonder if the New York mafia got to them. :pimp

Maybe the booing fans, especially if it was Delgado.

The team is in a bit of a rut right now. Hopefully we can play better tomorrow and at least take one game from the Mets. A couple of things. I was at the game. 1) Miguel was clearly safe. I could not believe he was called out. Jack should have argued it. Miggy was PISSED. 2) Jones was ineffective... basically from the beginning. He should have been replaced by Mecir to face Beltran. Jones had no control and when he did throw a strike he was leaving the ball up. I just knew that Beltran was going to get a hit... and I was shocked when he left Jones in there to face Piazza.

The players didn't perform, but the manager mismanaged. Simple as that.

*dips head into freezer*

Don't get me started on the umpires. I haven't been able to stand them since 1993.
