June 3, 200521 yr This guy really doesn't get enough credit for what he does on a daily basis -- playing sporadically yet contributing every chance he gets. If he continued his recent play over a full season (550 AB) he would be on pace for 36 HR's and 87 RBI's -- and while "on pace" numbers dont mean a whole lot it just goes to show how amazing his production off the bench has been. Unreal for a guy who was out of baseball not too long ago. Just wanted to give the guy some props -- hopefully Jack continues to play him on a more consistent basis.
June 3, 200521 yr Jack should feel safe giving guys days off .. give Castillo a day off, give Gonzo a day off, let Easley play. Easley is an amazing backup .. glad we have him :thumbup
June 3, 200521 yr Damon has been awesome. What a way to step up. So lets trade him plus cash for Zach Day. :plain
June 3, 200521 yr He's been fantastic so far. Give him more starts, spot him for Castillo to keep him healthy, spot him for Lowell sometimes until he gets back on track, whatever. By the way does anyone know if his defensive play last night is viewable online anywhere? I can't believe I missed it somehow....
June 3, 200521 yr Easley always just seems to give the marlins that spark when it's needed... I say play him anywhere I know he can play any position other then CF and even then I think he could play if we had too.

June 3, 200521 yr i really thought that there was no way Easley was gonna be able to put up the numbers he did last year but has and is on pace to do even better, i give ya your due props, keep it going
June 3, 200521 yr he has really steped up. it doesnt look like if he gets the credit that he deserves though
June 3, 200521 yr This guy has been amazing when off the bench. When he is in the lineup you should see some positive things off of him.
June 3, 200521 yr I always liked Easley. He always seems to hit big HR's. I remember the one last year that tied or won the game against Cleveland. He has done it a couple times this year too.

I'm almost positive the big defensive stop Damion made is on the highlight reel.

June 3, 200521 yr Nothing wrong with having too many good players. We are pretty much covered if three of our four infield positions gets hurt. Same goes for the outfield and pen.
