Tommy Hutton said early in the broadcast that Bump was sent down and told to work on his breaking ball.

Don't know why he couldn't work on that here with Wiley.

That confirms to me he is being groomed to be more of a starter.

I'm confused on why Bump has so many supporters. Other than my constant desire for valium everytime he enters the game, I have indicated that he does not pitch well with runners on base.

Bump can pitch well enough to eat up some innings. He should be used exclusively in long relief. He gets way too nervous when put into pressure situations and starts making dumb mistakes. He is the Anti-Clutch of the BP.

Tonight, Mecir had an error on what should have been an inning-ending double play, according to the radio. Let's send him down to AAA! :mischief2

Delgado isn't exactly the gold glover at 1B. Maybe Lee would have kept that from being an error, but we have to live and die by the bat.

Although Bump is no more than a AAA starter, and Perisho is a washed up "reliever" that doesn't stay in shape, Bentz and De Los Santos aren't are solution.

We need to start shopping around for a lefty, and a decent righty.

Mercir made a terrible throw to first. Lee would of even had trouble with that play.

I think bump shouldnt of been sent down, but at the rate we are going nothing more can hurt.

This is a Loria and Beinfest panic attack. They did the same thing last year...in June. I hope things work out for them. I have always thought Beinfest was more lucky than good. Maybe his luck has run out.

Baffling stuff. No way Smith deserves to be on this club. Bump should still be up. Perisho probably should have stayed as well with Jack just altering his role from specialist to general reliever. Smith should have gone down for Bentz or Miadich. Baffled.

wasnt velrio de los santos with the Tigers or something?

Brewers and Blue Jays I believe...don't remember him with the Tigers.

Maybe we can get a policy with whips in the bullpen and whomever fails get beaten? Think it might make them workbetter out there on the mound?

Apparently Bump's going to be working as a starter in the minors for a while. McKeon and Wiley want him to work on developing a cutter.

Hopefully Bentz can fill the lefty specialist role...

Bump used to throw a cutter. It wasn't a good pitch for him..they know that. That was an excuse they threw out there to justify sending him down.

Those types of relievers are a dime a dozen and will only waste roster space. Nate Bump has only fueled my yearning for binge drinking over the past three years. It's time to find someone else.

Every drunk has an excuse! :lol
