6/14 - Marlins @ Cubs -- 8:05 PM ET

i seriously hate encarnacion's extra super long swing. why is it so f***ing long

They better hit this pitcher 2389748384 times better the third time up. Ugh.

Keep it where it is

The only way those are earned is if they ruled Burnitz would have been safe even without the error. Oh yeah, they're in Chicago. Of course they're going to give the home team the benefit of the scoring. This is the capital of corruption. (Waves to Mayor Daley).

no patience to rack up Mitre's pitch count

I can never understand how the Marlins always seem to let other pitcher's look like Cy Young

easely you doofus

that was a hit. Easley made a good play to prevent a double in that thing they call grass.

I am baffled how unknowledgable you fellow Fish fans are.Did you know anything about Mitre coming into this game??? He's a sinker ball/ground ball inducing specialist - just the exact type of pitcher the Marlins always get shut down easily by.Typically the Marlins score maybe one run and get around 5 hits or less against these types.

I knew coming into tonight...that is was an automatic loss.

I was just hoping somehow Josh would shut them out too...and we would get lucky in a 1-0 win.

the ball dies in that grass right behind the apron.

i just think it was hit way too hard. plus it's mitre and he won't be thinking to stretch what should be a single into a double

You guys crack me up on these gameday threads. It's either the team is unstoppable and we're going to win 10 World Series championships in a row or we absolutely suck and everyone should be demoted to double-A.

I would understand this kind of thought process a little more if it was football where it's a short amount of time to get things accomplished.

We have 101 games to go. RELAX.

Before the last couple of games EVERY TYPE OF PITCHER WAS THE KIND THAT SHUTS DOWN THE MARLINS. I hope we can redeem ourselves in your eyes somehow....
