June 27, 200519 yr Can't believe Willy is not in the line-up. I'm really disgusted with Jack. If he is frightened by the Braves, why didn't he play Willingham last night? I senses senility. And I'm getting impatient.
June 27, 200519 yr I rather much have see Willy out there than Encarnacion or Conine. I think this guy has the potential to be another Cabrera
June 27, 200519 yr Willy will not play over Conine, Lowell, or Enc (at least for now) That's Jack for you. Take the good with the bad

June 27, 200519 yr If willy is traded some of the members of this board would slip into a Coma 828398[/snapback] I'll have a new favorite team.
June 27, 200519 yr I'd rather have Willy in a team that uses him instead of miss use his talent in a bench.

June 27, 200519 yr Willy has proved nothing on the major league level. The question should be why did the FO bring him up when they know he was not going to play. When the owner, GM and manager say in a team meeting that they would stick with pretty much a set, original line up, what do you expect. They are going to try to win with what they envisioned to be their everyday line up. Senility?
June 27, 200519 yr I dunno if 13 homers in 33 games is not impressive then you let me know. And if a 1.000+ obs is not then theres nothing big about this guy.

Hes been brought up but has not been given almost any atbats.
June 27, 200519 yr You people are waaayy too obsessed with Willingham. Sure he has great numbers, but it is TRIPLE A, and more importantly, it is in a ballpark(Albuquerque) where EVERYONE hits. Albuquerque is a city which is thousands of feet above sea level (like Colorado) so the offensive numbers are going to be better than they should be. Josh Willingham is nothing special and shouldn't be starting ahead of PROVEN major leaguers...
June 27, 200519 yr I'm good with this lineup. We need a strong start to this series, and this lineup gives up our best chance.

There are tons of guys there with good stats. Should we give them all a shot? No. We are fighting to win the NL East and need to use our proven guys. It doesn't help that Willingham is a liability defensively...

Willingham is just a liability at catcher and is improved from last year(not saying much)
