Posted June 29, 200519 yr After taking the weekend off (I'm lazy, sue me), the fine folks at Baseball America have returned to task with the latest installment of the Top 100 Most Influential Posters in Marlinsbaseball.com history. Today's installment, we take a look at the names from 80 all the way down to 71: #80 Jburque Joined- June 24th, 2003 Total Posts- 2,292 (3.1 per day) Memories: Being Shennanigan?s biggest fan Burky Burque is one of the members that most people now won?t recognize because he?s been posting sporadically for a while now, as opposed to his previous pace. He doesn?t have the lore Big Hugg, the infamy of Brian A. Woodworth, or the legend of KJC, but he was a member of the same core that begun their exit from the site a year ago today. He was always a staple in game threads (I don?t think Albuquerque has been incorporated into FSN?s viewing audience yet) and the Marlins forum, but he like many others made his comedic name with posts in the Outfield. #79 Chewbacca314 Joined- August 2nd, 2004 Total Posts- 5,743 (10 * 175 / 100 per day) Memories: MB?s resident Math person From the moment he showed up, Chewbacca has always had strong opinions. Strong in his approval of George W. Bush, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Star Wars, and very strong in his dislike for certain members and for Canada. He?s also been quick to express his passion for the mathematical field of education. However, his tragic flaw is his lack of a reason for his opinions. If he answered why more often with anything other than the long-winded equivalent of ?because nanny nanny boo boo,? he?d be a lot higher on this list. But until then, he gets to be a nice non-square number of 79. #78 METSrosexual Joined- July 10th, 2004 Total Posts- 683 (1.9 per day) Memories: Being a smelly Met fan Two Met fans fell victim to lower rankings than METSrosexual, and all three do about the same thing when the Mutts play the good guys. So what separates this wily Met fan, you ask? Simple ? he sticks around. The majority of his posts are actually in the Media forum, where he shares his opinion about all different types of music. A big fan of Guns N? Roses, he is among the most educated as far as the media aspect of things are concerned. Unfortunately for him, he?s still a Met fan. #77 The Rebirth Joined- November 1st, 2003 Total Posts- 5,089 (8.4 per day) You May Remember Him As: Realflava Memories: A member of the friendly White Sox corps Ah, have to love the South Siders who came over and adopted the Marlins as a favorite team for the sole purpose of seeing the Cubs fall to heart break once again. One of the more vocal White Sox fans post wise (though some even forget who he roots for since it doesn?t come up that often in his posts), this user is known for his amazing animated GIFs (which spread like frigging wild fire) and his fascination for shoes. Not girly shoes though, manly shoes. Air Jordan manly. He also has spent most of his days with a hot ass picture of Stacey Keebler in his signature, which probably gets him more attention than anyone else here. #76 nc marlin Joined- December 17th, 2003 Total Posts- 4,727 (8.5 per day) Memories: His role in the infamous Operation African Radio Here?s an example of one of the most underrated users on mb.com. He posts a plenty, has some insightful stuff to say every once in a while, and is among the best at humorously bringing one?s faults to the mass attention of the board. But the poor guy gets no love. How many posters does he have to leave in his shreds to get some attention every once in a while? Cape, Marlins, Pubes, they?ve all fallen victim to nc?s wrath. Plus he likes that gangsta ish, yo. He?ll cut you up while he makes fun of you and bangs your girlfriend. #75 William Jefferson Clinton Joined- December 14th, 2002 Total Posts- 105 (0.1 per day) Memories: Bob Dole hating Our first celebrity not named Odom cracks the list, bringing us into the second quarter of the Power 100. What has Mr. Clinton done besides be a slutty president you ask? Well, along with Mr. Dole, the ex-President turned public speaker extraordinaire helped to set the Post Your Picture Thread on its due course into interweb lore. Though he was suspended for the first night by administrator Das, Bill started us off on our wonderful journey by giving the full Clinton welcome to Das Texan 101 and Broadwaybaby84. #74 Flying_Mollusk Joined- November 14th, 2003 Total Posts- 2,938 (5 per day) Memories: 2004 Presidential Election I had a famous saying I was going to use to describe F_M, tying it into his one sided postings all in the Bullpen. But then I got distracted by the Babe Bowl and I can?t remember it now. Damnit. Anyways, F_M has some strongly entrenched opinions and he lets them be known as often as possible on any and every political subject. He?d probably be ranked a lot higher if not for the fact that he, a Marlins fan, barely ever posts in the Marlins forum. I mean, come on! One trick ponies can only go so far. That?s holding him down, and also the fact that Juan Encarnacion has been stinking the place up since he became F_M?s avatar. Please change it. Now. #73 TSwift25 Joined- December 2nd, 2003 Total Posts- 3,180 (5.5 per day) Memories: Part of the Fire Bill Robinson movement The first of what I like to refer to in my overactive head as the Marlins Trio ? all Marlins talk, all the time ? Swiftie has a ridiculous 71% of his posts in the Marlins section. Now that?s will power. When he does venture outside of the Marlin forum, it?s to go post in the Major League forum. The man is a baseball fan. Besides being almost strictly about the Fish (which believe it or not, on a Marlin message board, is the point!), TSwift throws out some really nice posts with solid ideas and well backed opinions. Some skip over his posts because they can get a tad long winded, but if anyone follows what happens when I decide to speak my mind I?m not one to criticize. Besides, longer posts are more intelligent. #72 Kate Joined- July 24th, 2003 Total Posts- 350 (0.5 per day) You May Remember Her As: Das Texan 101 Memories: The day her picture was posted When the Post Your Picture Thread was started by Captain Viagra, this member was in a relationship with a certain high ranking board official (as can be clearly seen in the first few pages). However, she was really just one of the posters there wasting time and talking it up. But then, the next day, a picture was posted inside the thread and in a separate thread as well. This, coupled with BB84?s picture later on, made for some very, very, very happy male posters on the board. #71 Maniac Joined- March 20th, 2004 Total Posts- 2,170 (4.7 per day) You May Remember Him As: Ice Man (current) Memories: Taking endless pictures of himself From the minute he showed up, Messier Maniac made it very clear he had a talent for photographs. Whether they be Marlin shots altered into some cool images, or specialized signatures for members who requested them (or some who didn?t, big ups for Mota?s House of Pain and the 18th birthday present), Maniac had some clear talent. But his fun with cameras shined through when it came time to take endless pictures of himself. Whether it be as the Phantom of the Opera, at prom, or in his new Air Force shirt (available now via his profile; hurry while supplies last and he takes one at the supermarket!), the Ice Man isn?t shy. And he?s cool for it.

June 30, 200519 yr For the record, this list is the most influential posters in mb.com, not the best. Yes, there's a difference.

Yes, there's a difference. 831867[/snapback] Just like Time Magazine and the person of the year, right. Doesn't mean they are the best, but they had the most influence on the world for those of you who don't know the criteria for Time.
