I wish the second game was on tv so I could have watched Jorg play. Good Luck the rest of the season Jorg!

Jorgensen-

David Waindel here....I had the luxury to play summer baseball with you in 96' and have kept up with you since I found out you were drafted. I'm not the least bit surprised by your success in the Marlins organization. I am a flight paramedic on a helicopter in the Houston area and still remain an avid baseball fan of the Houston Astros. Drop me a line at DWaindel@houston.rr.com and maybe I can get my hands on a signed baseball from you. Thanks a million and good luck!

I thought Jorg signed a minor league deal with us this offseason.

I thought so too, I think he was just taken off the 40 man.

He's going to be at Spring Training with the Marlins and he didn't ditch us. Just not much to write a journal about during the offseason.

I've asked him to do a journal for 2006 ST but can not promise it yet.

I thought Jorg signed a minor league deal with us this offseason.

Was he a 6 yr minor league free agent or something? He couldn't have been out of option years..

He was drafted in 2000 by the Cubs and it's 2006 now, so that's 6 years, not sure when the dates officially end and begin though.

i thought this was a new journal posting..

didnt even bother to look at the date of the posting in the title.. just read the first line and said "Wait a minute"

I don't believe you can be a 6 year minor league FA if you're on the 40-man.

They just wanted him off it so they DFA'd him.

I don't know the rules well enough to be certain, but I'd guess that's what it was.

I guess the rest of the league passed him up on waivers?

well lets not kid ourselves.. he is a nice guy and all but he didnt exactly tear up Triple A last year
