Minus the first 2 innings, the offense has sucked again.

thats what I was saying.... no base runner since the 2nd

I am more than happy that we got 6 runs...... but aside from that outburst, which we once and a while have, we are not having good at-bats tonight. Whatever you guys can go an over react to what I said, I am more than happy that we most likely will win this game. I was just saying what I felt....we havn't had a base runner since the 2nd inning....

Same thing happened to me. The advice I was given was to keep criticism out of the game threads when the game is going well.

I don't think that our offense has cooled down or anything tonight. I just think that they relaxed a bit once we got a very comfortable lead because there is no point in wearing themselves out when there are more games to be played and we will need some offense tomorrow.

Uh, when your ace is on the mound with an early 6-0 lead you aren't exactly pressing to score runs or anything. This happens alot in baseball.

Hopefully Big Tex brings that fire he showed last start...I love watching Big Tex go flippin nuts out there, he's unhittable when he's firedup.

Amen.

Jeff Francoeur (sp?) just homered for the Braves. Sheesh.

I've seriously made an effort to watch more Braves games lately just to watch that guy play...he's fun to watch.

Thats partly true but if you are going to win this way, win big. You have a point though, tomarrow we have Peavey but Beckett's pitching so it's Ace for Ace, hopefully his run support will be low

Dontrelle at 94 pitches

Give him the cg

Don't see why they wouldn't...just have Messenger or somebody on stand-by in case he starts to throw a ton of pitches.

But, it also doesn't make me feel good about facing Peavy tommorrow.?

Peavey is mortal and their offence can be haulted, just remember, the Mets shut him out 12-0 not too long ago, we just need to stay confident!

2 home runs in 73 at bats vs him, and both of those off of Mikey L...I can worry if I want.

Sure that is understandable, but there is no excuse for swinging at bad pitches and hacking at the ball, I mean there have been some bad at bat's and they don't look like they care.... it's one thing to be comfortable and not press it's another to look like s*** at the plate. You still got fans at the game that paid money to watch you play.

the key is now to save ourselves for facing Peavy.

O.M. (Original Marlin) up on the mound for the Friars.

Saving ourselves? Sure having crappy at bat's will prepare them well for a better pitcher tommarow, yea I can see how that makes sense.

Come on, quit whining about unimportant things when you have a good lead and a great pitcher on the mound. *sigh* Would you rather they score 12 and be unable to get a single one tomorrow?

This game is flying by.

Yea it's flying...between Willis working quickly and shutting them out and us basically going 1-2-3 for the entire game after the 2nd inning.... that's a recepie for a quick game. But hey a W is a W here hoping they don't start tommarow like they ended tonight!
