I can really see this happening

 

When I was a Mets fan back when I was a kid before the fish existed... Carter was my favorite player for awhile. On one of my little league cards it says "Favorite Player: Gary Carter" so I might be a homer here.

I think this was his first year as a manager in the gulf coast league. So I really doubt it. Mordy would be a candidate before him I think.

 

He was a terrible announcer for us back in the day also. :lol

I don't know experience wise but he's a great guy i've met him a bunch of times and he's always willing to talk baseball with you, very knowledgeable

Saw him manager the GCL Mets a few times . His team did win the division but he redefine the word "OBNOXIOUS"!!!!!

 

The Marlins braintrust saw him a few times and did poke fun at him.

If it's not one of those four, just bring back McKeon, and make sure he has a fast team to work with this time...plodding singles hitters just don't get the job done, I think the 8th inning tonight illustrated the importance of a different dimension in the lineup.

Nothing at all, it just seems that many in the White Sox organiation are tired of his straight-shooter act, and if the Sox get swept out of the playoffs, he could very well be a fall guy for this "collapse" of sorts for the White Sox.

 

I don't really want him (to me, he's simply a younger, hispanic Jack McKeon), but a lot of the guys on the team (Cabrera, Lowell) love him, so if they'll play hard for him, I'm all for it.

To me Carter didn't sound all that intelligent when he was broadcaster, plus he was a Met so that's another negative against him.
