MarlinsBaseball.com Says Thank You to Jack

Jack - You are the best manager the Florida Marlins have ever had... Many people share this same opinion. Thank you so much for everything you have done for this franchise.

I must admit, I was really hoping you would come back for one more season. Many people say 2005 was a disappointment, but I really believe you were the leader for a team that could have ended much worse, given all the injuries. You have done an amazing job and I wish nothing but the best for you... You truly have touched thousands of people in South Florida and you will always be remembered for it...

Thank You,

Alex G

I already miss you Jack.

Take care and thanks for everything you did for the team and the fans.

Enjoy your cigar!! :hat

Jack,

It was great having you managing the Marlins for 3 fantastic years. You accomplished something that no other manager has done with the Marlins in leading them to three consecutive winning seasons. 2003 was a great season, and without you, that miracle season may have never happened. I know things didn't work out quite the way you wanted to this season, but that's why you play the game. Congratulations on the 1010 career victories, it was a privilege to watch you get 241 of those as the skipper for the Marlins. Thanks for the great memories Jack and enjoy retirement!

Thank you Jack for 2003 and 3 straight winning seasons, a first for the franchise

Good luck in your new position

Jack,

Thank you for everything. Especially, for making the Marlins a truly relevant franchise here in South Florida and in Major League Baseball. I think in the future when all Marlin fans look back at this team's history your name will be in bold letters and you will always be remembered for leading the team to that magical run in in 2003. The team, the fans, and this franchise will miss you a great deal, never forget this.

Jack,

All I have to say is thank you for 3 great seasons. You will not be forgotten for all you have done for this franchise, and the entire state of Florida. From Tallahassee, I thank you for everything.

Jack,

Thank you so much for making baseball in South Florida fun to watch. I was so proud of our guys as you led them through three winning seasons. You took the boys and made them men.

Have fun in your retirement. It's a good man that puts his family's wishes above his own and an honorable man that sticks to his promise.

Don't go too far away!

Dr. McKeon,

Never in the history in this young franchise have we seen three consecutive .500 seasons. For the recent success of the Florida Marlins, I would like to thank you. By simply playing by 'old school' rules you were able to turn a group of players with potential into players with talent. I have had an amazing time following the team game by game over the past seasons, and I will continue to do so.

While I hope that you enjoy retirement, make sure to order some type of package so that you can catch all of our games! If you get bored of retirement in 15 years or so, feel free to come back to Florida, becuse after all, you do feel 45! If you do not return to the game, know that your legacy will thrive in it. You have shaped Dontrelle Willis into a star that may shine for years to come. The members of this franchise, and the dedicated fans will remember your work for years to come.

Thank you for everything that you have brought to South Florida,

Joseph S.

Using my powers to get the last word in:

Jack, thanks for the memories. Your commitement to old school baseball was refreshing in this day and age. 2003 was one hell of a memory and I sincerely thank you for it. On behalf of myself and all Marlin fans, thanks for it all, thanks for leading us to that title, thanks for helping is realize that baseball is a game and fun.

To whatever you do next...good luck in it, I know you will succeed. And you will always be a member of the Marlins nation, of the Marlins family.
