October 19, 200520 yr http://www.commoncensus.org/sports_map.php?sport=2 Cool map. Nice to see the Marlins infringe that much on what legitamitely should be Devil Ray territory.
October 19, 200520 yr A generation from now the Marlins could have control of all that Braves territory in North Florida.
October 19, 200520 yr Thats just represented geographically. Just from the two places I have lived the majority in my life... Half of North Carolina roots for the Nationals? More like they are Brave fans (the large majority) or Oriole fans (a small ammount). And I am shocked that the majority of Texans would pick the Rangers of the two baseball teams in Texas.
October 19, 200520 yr So New Mexico is Cubs territory? Why? They have spring trainning in mesa (I think), besides that I have no clue.
October 19, 200520 yr New Mexico is Dbacks/Mets territory. We got so many friggin' New Yorkers over here.
October 19, 200520 yr Looks like most of sarasota and tampa have the D-ray fans, im from sarasota, but not to worry, Im a marlins fan.
October 19, 200520 yr LOL @ 90% of Arizona being Cubs territory :lol . Are they missing the Diamondbacks on this map??? :mischief2
October 19, 200520 yr The best part on this Map is the Mets, seriously. I totally agree with whoever posted that earlier.
October 19, 200520 yr LOL @ 90% of Arizona being Cubs territory :lol . Are they missing the Diamondbacks on this map??? :mischief2 People from Arizona apparantly don't know they've got a team of their own, and they root for the Cubs or the Padres.
October 19, 200520 yr The Rockies apparently have 1/4 of the country. No one lives there, though. :mischief
October 19, 200520 yr The mets /yankees fan section looks very strange-On the north east tip of long island, it looks like met fans, the south west side of long island is mets land again, but look at the center part of long island, its blue, (yankee land) why is the center part of long island just yankee land??
October 19, 200520 yr I could see western AZ being padre country .... tucson though would be d-backs (as would phoenix) the cubs are popular out here, as are the twins, yankees, mets and other cities where a lot of people moved from
October 19, 200520 yr Pretty true in Florida. Once you pass Orlando, you have the Braves influence heavily. Interesting that the Marlins Radio Network covers the teal areas pretty much. The team needs to expand the network to expand the fan base.
October 19, 200520 yr BS at the Rockies total domination of the west. That's Twin and Mariner territory. And anyone else find it odd that the Diamondbacks just aren't on the map?
October 19, 200520 yr We gotta seriously get the Braves out of our state. I just passed it on to my son who goes to school in Tallahassee. Lot's of South Fla. kids up there. Told him to pass it on to a few thousand of his best friends.
October 20, 200520 yr The Rockies apparently have 1/4 of the country. Where are the White Sox Fans? Expect that to change if they end up winning the World Series :mischief
