SC Mock Press Conferences

Featured Replies

Wow, whoever came up with that idea should be shot. 40 minutes of TO is enough, but then you have to put up with 5-8 minutes of this garbage. In studio analysis isn't enough?

A new low for what was a great program.

Yes, this is worse than the bands and rappers performing near the end of the 6 pm SCs.

I like them too...it's called creativity.....

I laugh during them.. Especially when they have simulated press conferences of the Cubs and Dodgers, two fourth place teams.. Then again it's Los Angeles and Chicago, who appeal to most people.. Pretty boring but creative and the closest Steve Phillips will ever get back to being a GM.

I was thinking about making a thread like this.

This is the dumbest idea ever! I could up there and do what he does, there is no point to it.

:thumbup @ dissing Sportscenter for whatever reason no matter how good it might be!

I appreciate creativity, but six minutes (I timed it) of in-depth Yankees' offseason analysis on a 60-minute national sports broadcast is ridiculous... 10% of the show!

Unless they are planning on doing it for all thirty teams, which I doubt, then this is really stupid... I can't see them talking that in-depth on the Brewers or Royals... though I personally would love it if they covered every team in that much detail.

This is one of those things that seems like an good, interesting concept, and then once they do it it just winds up being really stupid and lame

I never thought I would say this....... but I completely agree with Mays24

This idea is so stupid

i have no problem with Philips' comments, but the group of reporters yelling to ask a question is a waste of everybody's time

My roommate turned on Sportcenter sunday and they said something about GM they showed the area the had the redsox background and they said steve phillips would address reporters and he(being a sox fan) freaked out and was screaming about how dumb the organization was for hiring him.

Probably one of the best "on paper" ideas they've had in a while, it just didn't translate well to television, I'd rather they just give that time to Gammons and Kurkjan at the winter meetings, it would probably be more informative.

I liked the idea and thougth and thougth it was good although unless they do it for every team i WILL BE PISSED

They're like really bad Saturday Night Live skits,

Saturday Night Live skits are really bad Saturday Night Live skits.
