With that abysmal defense, they'll still lose a bunch of games.

true...

Marino's last game was that 62-7 bashing at Jacksonville in the playoffs, so I wouldn't be surprised if Favre left after a crappy season.

ahhh your bringing back that game. remember it like it was yesterday. :(

The abysmal defense that was ranked like 5th in the league in yds/gm allowed.

Favre won't retire. He's still better than 2/3 of the QBs in the league and will put up solid numbers with a healthy team around him.

just proves numbers don't mean anything because the Packers D sucks.....

I deny that game ever existed. I in fact refuse to believe it did.

Wasn't it 62-6, actually?

:confused

He just needs to make a decision already. Im sick of this Brett Favre love affair.

Favre should hury up his own personal opinion just because ESPN has been talking about it for a while?

Or you could listen to the rumors on Cold Pizza this morning that he is trying to come to Miami to finish his career. But then again thats Skip Bayless so take it as you will.

The only reason the defense was so good yardage wise was because the opposition would get out to a lead early and just run the ball and salt the game away. That's why crappy teams often have good pass defense numbers and bad run defense numbers. Conversely, good/decent teams often have relatively poor pass defense and good run defense numbers.

Judging by his insane (even by Bayless standards) column today, I wouldn't take anything he says seriously.

based off the mere fact that he is leaning towards retirement and questioning it.. should be indication enough that it is time to hang em up.. as a professional athlete if you lose your desire for the game it is usually in your best interests to just call it a day...

If he retires this offseason, no one is going to remember his performance this year 10 years from year. However, if he has a couple of crappy years, it'll damage his legacy slightly.
