I'm hoping this obsession with stealing third is just Girardi helping the kids try to work out the kinks of stealing bases at the major league level in Spring Training and that once the regular season rolls around on Monday he's a little more cautious on the basepaths, especially when it comes to stealing third.

me either. doesn't seem that complicated. tying run is at home plate and you're in scoring position. why would you steal unless you are absolutely sure you can make it? and why would a fan know that well and a player would be clueless? maybe they're overconfident and therefore are a bit more wreckless.
