I think some teams like the Broncos, Giants, Dolphins, and Eagles all had great drafts even though I'm a Jags fan.

This won't be very popular but I believe that the Patriots had the BEST draft in the league this year. The thing which made it so good was the VALUE at each pick.

Laurence Maroney (RB) and Chad Jackson (WR) are 2 awesome offensive weapons who can start right away.

David Thomas (TE) fills a void at TE from Texas and Garrett Mills (TE/FB) is the most under-rated player in college this year. Mills runs better routes than I've ever seen from a TE but might become a FB.

Stephen Goskowski (K) is hands down the best kicker in this draft if you ask me.

Ryan O'Callaghan (G) could have been a 2nd-3rd rounder taken in the 5th.

Jeremy Mincey (DE), Dan Stevenson (G), LeKevin Smith (DT), Willie Andrews (S) were all expected to be drafted higher than they were.

Now I know why Belicheck does it year in and year out....he's a great coach and drafts on need and VALUE!

Who do you think had the best draft?

Eagles raped this draft.

Arizona getting Leinart where they did, Pope in the 3rd, and Gabe Watson in the 4th was pretty damn nice. 2nd round pick was kinda shaky though.

Patriots had an awesome draft, as did Philly.

Tennessee

Arizona had the best overall draft in my opinion. Anytime you can add Leinart and Pope to a offense that already has Edgerrin James, Anquan Boldin, Admin Fitzgerald that is pretty incredible. Might be the best offense ever when it is all said and done.

In terms of what he had to work with, I think Saban had the best draft. Picked up Jason Allen who will be our starting FS this year.

Derek Hagans who will be our #3 WR and will take alot of pressure off of Chambers and Booker. He will probably replace Booker in a year or two and predicts into a dandy #2 WR.

Then we draft Rodrique Wright in the 7th round. He has got incredible potential and numerous reports say he could end up being the best DT to come out of this draft if he reaches his full potential. If Matt Roth, Manuel Wright, Rodrique Wright devolp we are gonna have one heck of a deffensive line for years to come.

Saban is quietly putting together a dynasty.

Texans.

All around I think this draft went well for every team except for the Bills. I am happy with what Saban did with what he had. I do think the Broncos and Pats made out the best if I had to pick a few.

New England, Tennessee, and Philly.

Saban is putting together a dynasty? Dear God, go to the playoffs again before talk like that is thrown around.

Agreed.

Season haven't even started yet and the 'Phins have won the Superbowl.

While I agree there is no dynasty being put together for the Phins from this draft they def are one of the teams walking in the right direction, like the Bengals and Cardinals.

While I agree with you, that little (unbiased) in the topic header makes me go the other directions.

Looking over the reports, it looks like the Eagles had the best weekend.

New England, Tennessee, and Philly.

No doubt about that, Saban is a tremendous man to have leading your football team and you are easily on the way up.

That's one thing about the draft that is always hillarious, alot of fans believe they are either SB contenders because of it or already out of playoff contention. No middle ground. Half these players probably won't even make an impact for a few years and maybe only a handful of guys each draft make a big impact for the league each season.

Alright, maybe not a dynasty but a darn good team.

Better?

New England, Tennessee, and Philly.

Too many people thinking the draft is the "Cure All"

Looking over the reports, it looks like the Eagles had the best weekend. Just wanted to point out that the Bengals and Cardinals weren't my pick for who did the best in the draft, just the couple teams I see as really taking the next step in the right direction. Sorry if there was any confusion. I actually didn't notice how the Bengals did in the draft this year. I just like what that team did last year.

Also the Browns are another team making some great moves. I like how the NFL might look next year.

Rodrique Wright should have been the best DT in all of college football. But he has never put it all together. If he had actually reached anywhere near his potential he is a first day pick. Wright could be a useful backup DT or a guy you put into the rotation. I doubt he suddenly 'puts it all together' and starts to truly dominate. He might for a game or two a year. Then be remarkably average the rest of them. Its what he does.

If lack of motivation is his problem, Saban usually does a pretty good job of motivating the guys...

While the Eagles may have had the best draft, I think the Dolphins got the most value out of the fewest picks available. Even our 7th round guys project to at least be second-team players.

New England had another ridiculous draft as well.

Texans, Philly, the Jets and NE all had great drafts. Philly impressed me a lot addressing the DLine and Oline (Winston Justice is a risky pick, but it's the right environment for him and they got him in the 2nd).

Did the Jets draft a qb?

Well geezus, sorry for us enjoying the fact we've had what appears to be the second really good draft in two years after almost a decade of pure crap.

Ya cause Wright is coming from a system where players are known to not be motivated right?

Seriously if you cant get motivated to be playing at the top of your game going for a national title on a team where players WANT to play for the coach then its not going to happen.

I think some of you see Saban as the next coming of Lombardi.

New England, Tennessee, and Philly.

Just ignore it. What they fail to understand is what we have gone through the past years during the Rick Speilman era. At this point any draft without Rick involved is a successful one for the Phins.

No I see Saban as his own self. And he got Ricky Williams motivated last year somehow. Hell, he motivated a team to win its last 6 or 7 games by saying "Wins don't matter".

maybe more like the second coming of Belichick... I'm curious as to what ya'll think of the Steelers draft... but more to the point at hand, I think Arizona had the best draft... the biggest question about Leinart was whether or not he could play with talent around him... I guess thats not a problem anymore...
