Posted May 1, 200618 yr 5/1 Madson (2-1, 8.05) vs Willis (1-1, 3.13) 5/2 Lieber (0-4, 7.04) vs Olsen (1-1, 2.12) Philly has a somewhat better offense and the Marlins have a somewhat better bullpen (believe it or not). You have to like the match-ups. Good chance for us to pick up a win (or 2). :thumbup (OK, I'm being foolishly optimistic)
May 1, 200618 yr Over the past 6 games, this team has been a few breaks from being 5-1 instead of 1-5. With our two best pitchers going this series, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way.
May 1, 200618 yr I'll be at the game tomorrow night, hopefully our bats will get going. I'll be there as well... I want to see a W. I'm 0-2 this year counting the Shea game.
May 1, 200618 yr Over the past 6 games, this team has been a few breaks from being 5-1 instead of 1-5. Atleast we are in the game. As Jack McKeon says "The worm is going to turn". Things will start to click.
May 1, 200618 yr Both teams are struggling big time... Marlins coming off getting swept by the Rocks :mad Phillies coming off a series loss to the Pirates Somthing has to give...
May 1, 200618 yr I don't mind D-Train or Olsen going after Ryan Howard, but if either have to leave early and our righties have to face him they better pitch around him. Charlie Manuel keeps on putting Howard in the sixth spot in the order and we have to take advantage of that by not giving that monster a chance to beat us like Mitre did.

May 1, 200618 yr I like the Madson matchup for tonight. He struggles a bit vs. lefties so Reed or Cepicky should get a start. Jacobs also.

The Marlins are much worse than the Philllies.
May 2, 200618 yr This bench coach the Phillies have can manage his way out of an unlocked closet.....I like him.
