May 12, 200620 yr 8 innings. 0 runs 6 hits 1 walk 8 K's Not sure if his day is over. He has been pretty good since the trade :thumbup .
May 12, 200620 yr Teams are making a book on him... Wait till after the all star break, he'll go back to the normal Arroyo :lol
May 12, 200620 yr He sure has been impressive. As have the Reds. Teams are making a book on him... Wait till after the all star break, he'll go back to the normal Arroyo :lol This very well could be true. We'll just have to wait and see.

The guy's been pitching in the majors for a few years now. There's a book on him. NL teams aren't so short sighted as not to have access to scouting info on AL players.

I meant an NL book, I understand all players get scouted by all league and teams... But they havent actually seen him pitch alot.. Once a player seen him pitch live.. they know what to expect as far a breaking pitches, speed, sequences etc.... NL is totally different from AL
May 12, 200620 yr Or... it could be that Arroyo has been in the pitching wasteland that is the AL East, in which he had to face good... if not great lineups, all the time. Arroyo now gets to face teams with relatively weaker hitting, in my opinion. (Especially considering that now he gets to face pitchers in the 9th spot)

May 12, 200620 yr Arroyo has already faced the Cardinals and Cubs twice. The Cards did rough him up a bit on Easter, but he dominated them the second time out. I like what I've seen from Arroyo (being a Reds fan). I see a pitcher who is constantly making adjustments during the game to keep the opposing hitters off balance. I think he's the real deal.
