May 26, 200620 yr "I was a little upset," Maddux said. "They got me. I made pretty good pitches that inning, and they got me. I don't like to lose, especially like that. I threw the ball where I wanted to and they hit it. You've got to tip your hat. At least I did it right, if there's such a thing." I know it probably doesn't mean much but it was nice to see the Marlins make adjustments. If they hit Maddux's 'good' pitches hopefully the Marlins can do the same with Bozo the Clown tonight. It seems like the Marlins strategy is make him work and make adjustments to his pitches. :thumbup , GO MARLINS!
May 26, 200620 yr well, not surprising, really. we've known for a while that our guys can rake. if we only had a bullpen... (i think our starters are doing very well now, except for olsen)
May 26, 200620 yr The greatest pitcher of our generation outside of Clemens is called Bozo the clown? Were you even alive between 97 and 2002?

May 26, 200620 yr The greatest pitcher of our generation outside of Clemens is called Bozo the clown? Were you even alive between 97 and 2002? Maddux would argue with that... as would Nolan Ryan, if you consider him our generation.
May 26, 200620 yr Why is it so hard to spell the name 'Greg Maddux'? Because the average IQ on this board is the same as the number on your username? :mischief

May 26, 200620 yr The greatest pitcher of our generation outside of Clemens is called Bozo the clown? Were you even alive between 97 and 2002? He has not been the best pitcher of our generation outside of Clemens. That honor would go to Maddux. Followed by Glavine. Pedro had some really incredible seasons, though and is right up there at the top of the pitchers in this generation.

May 27, 200620 yr Curt Schilling? Randy Johnson? to throw some more names out in the great pitchers of our generation discussion
May 27, 200620 yr Speaking of quotes, here's what Pedro said after his start: "It's difficult to pitch against anybody you don't know," said Martinez, referring to the seven rookies in the Marlins' lineup. "They are good enough to beat us and they are good enough to beat anybody."
