JBurque
I've been listening to the Dan Patrick show at work today and the poll question is "who should be NL mgr. of the year." Of course, Trader Jack is leading the voting handily but everytime they talk about it, Dibble starts into how much he dislikes Jack and goes on how he can't relate blah blah blah. DP suggests he shouldn't dislike him b/c of what happened during his playing days. Dibble responds, "I didn't like him as a player, I don't like him as an analyst." What did Jack to do to the hillbilly? anybody know? btw: SCREW U DRIBBLE

Das Texan
Dibble knows nothing. I have yet to figure out what Dibble is holding over the heads of the ESPN execs in order to keep that job. Maybe its cause he is a friend of Brantley...i dont kno.

farmer_fran
yeah I don't see what ESPN sees in Dibble I think he's horrible on baseball tonight. He just doesn't bring the good insight like the regulars(HR,valentine) and guys like Brantley and Gwynn.

rally2247
Rob Dibble was a idiot pitcher that couldn't throw strikes. Maybe that's why Jack disliked him, and in turn, Dibble disliking McKeon. :mischief2
Hotcorner
Dibble is a joke as an analyst. Stupid oafish moron. More Jeff Brantly, less Rob Dibble. I don't see Gammonds diss the Marlins that often, to me he seems to think they're a great story this year.
CapeFish
I think the Dibble is just bitter because 1) He's a tub of lard. 2) He got beat by old man Lou. 3) After getting his head handed to him, he got sent to the Marlins in a bad season. 4) His IQ is lower than his ERA divided by 200. Dibble pitched with us when the Marlins had one of those terrible expansion year records. I think it was 1995 or 1996, can't remember. CapeFish
Here is an article. Florida Marlins The Marlins' latest reclamation project is Rob Dibble, who signed a Triple-A contract April 14. Florida's pitching coach, Admin Rothschild, was Dibble's bullpen coach with the Reds. The reliever won't be added to the Charlotte or Florida roster until kinks that have developed in his mechanics in recent years have been ironed out. from http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/sbbw0504.htm

CapeFish
so i am guessing he never made it to the big club then? no he didn't, sorry guys. He was signed to a minor league contract but i don't believe he was ever brought up. No save in 1993, mistake on that, he was with Cinci.
