Our expectations have risen because we realize what the team could be capable of, so the losses would've been easier to take, that's all. Despite the talent, don't forget that these are still rookies in most cases.
July 9, 200620 yr The only "__________ team of all time" I'd consider this Marlins team to be is the most impressive. You guys really need to have a bit of prespective here. Everyone expected us to win in the neighborhood of 50 games. We'll have that many by the end of July. We split a series with one of the best teams in baseball and by far the best team in the National League in their home. Just be happy with what we got. Anything over 65 wins is just gravy anyway.

July 10, 200620 yr last year was alot more "disheartening" to me because the team was expected to do something only to continually disappoint Word up. I had mentioned before that I'd rather see this 06' team scrap out 60 or 70 wins than watch last years squad feel sorry for themselves and win 83.

I totally agree with you...sometimes i wonder if Joe G were our manager last year if that team would have had more accomplishments...These Baby Marlin are truely wondrous. They are fun to watch and they fight tooth and nail with anyone. The talent level is enormous but they are just kids...We forget that!
