Pierre won't be back next year, and they aren't going anywhere this year. Might as well trade him.

But with where that team's headed, I don't think it'll hold them back, especially given Pierre's free-agent status. Besides, .263 with a .729 OPS isn't much worse than what Hanley put up in the minors last season, and look at him now.

Did you see earlier in the year when they lost in extra innings on a ball that bounced off Aramis Ramirez's head?

But in general, Dusty has horribly mismanaged the Cubs for several years in every way possible. Look at the way young players have regressed under his management- Corey Patterson & Matt Murton to name a few. These guys have talent and Dusty has not been the slightest bit capable of helping them live up to it. He ruins the rotation, plays certain players to the death over much more talented players, doesn't teach any type of patience at the plate resulting in inept offense, he's way too lax, etc. I don't see how Dusty is free from all fault.
