At the G8 Summit Tony Blair and W are talking to each other and thought a microphone wasn't on, W says to Tony Blair about the UN... "What they really need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this sh*t."

:lol

It was even better when you heard it on TV.

That's my W.

aww.. how cute... I don't think thats acting like a leader whatsoever. He has got to be able to show a little bit of class... expecially the 'some of these guys talk too long' thing.. common, they are the most powerful people in the world, theyre right nextto him, and he is one of them.. keep it to yourself.

Isn't Hezbollah?:

a) in Lebanon, and

b) funded by Iran

What does Syria have to do with it?

Bush is casually talking with his best buddy Tony Blair, what are you talking about?

Syria is involved too. They have some influence there. They were the prime suspects in the Hariri assasination.

The video of this was pretty funny and surreal. It's weird hearing world leaders, in particular those of two major superpowers, discuss an enormous issue as casually as we discuss baseball.

i heard it on the news, i think it was before the explcitive, like before that 1 min segment, seprate, same meal though. I think he was talking about his other buddy Elvis.

OOOOOOOOOH, the President, a former frat boy and drunk said sh*t, how edgy and unpredictable.

Well I guess it's a little unpredictable coming from a former male cheerleader

Syria and Iran have a close alliance. The Syrians help to supply Iranian arms to Hezbollah, which is Iran's state-sponsored terrorist organization.

The most interesting part about this whole thing is that the rest of the Arab nations in the region, besides Iran and Syria, have condemned Hezbollah, rather than siding with them. This is an unprecedented thing.

It is unprecedented because I know that most of the Arab countries see this as an oppurtunity to have the Ayatollah expunged possibly. That and they see that the rest of the world, for once, is behind Israel in their fight.

I still don't understand what's so awesome about this. I mean, it's not like he said anything really of note. It's kind of interesting, like Mollusk said, to hear world leaders speak about world politics so casually when there's so much posturing in their public addresses.

I think its good what he said. It shows he has a real personality. What would you rather his personality be? Do you want him to have oral sex? Or do you want him to be a leader that says he will "blow a country off the map?"

He was just saying what everyone thinks in his head about Syria..... :whistle

Syria is an evil terrorist harbouring country.

theres nothing wrong with getting a little head while threatning to blow another country off the map, in fact its quite relaxing.

ah the love affair continues...

you want personality? It got better later on...

"If we could just get those Hezbooolah f*ckers to settle down and tell Syria to stop all the hatin, maybe Iran would get their sh*t together, because Kofi certainly ain't got the balls to step up so ima send mah main b*tch Condi to go straighten their sh*t out."

When I hear W make statements like that I have to ask myself.....

Is our children learning?

And what's wrong with saying that? I wish he would have! :mischief

Is that a real sentence? lol

As a rule of thumb most Arab countries hate Syria, this stems with them being the only Arab country to not back Iraq against Iran in the Iran-Iraq War. Syria and Iran's alliance is more of marriage of convieniance, politically they are very different, in fact logic would have them be bitter enemies as Syria is Ba'ath (Pan-Arabist, secular) and Iran has thier Revolutionary government (Khomeinist and Islamist).

The Gulf monarchies are actually coming down on Hezbollah to spite Syria and Iran.

Syria is an evil terrorist harbouring country.

Has he not already said that? Or at least implied it numerous times?

Again, its a Bush Quote..

Bush has been harsh on Syria many times, which included recalling our ambassador a few months after the Iraq war was over.
