All I ask of people watching on tv in Hanley's next at bat is to watch how he lifts his back foot before he turns his hips, leaving him with no balance or power. Simply, you can't hit off your front foot. Hitting coaches call it "dancing".

 

When he keeps that back foot planted until he's made contact he drives the ball as well as anyone on the team.
