We're in the same situation as the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves, the best two teams in their leagues.

We'll recover and prevail from our first game loss, as will they.

Just trying to throw a positive out there.

Yep, losing to Jason Schmidt isn't the end of the world. I think we matchup well for the next three games. We win tomorrow and it's a whole new ball game.

You think the Yankees and Braves are ready to roll over and die?

Heck no!

Marlins will come back strong and may come back to win this series!

I predicted the first game a loss just because Schmidt was Pitching .

It wouldnt of mattered who was playing against the Giants yesterday they would have lost to the likes of Schmidt .

Giants weekness is in their Bull-pen we couldnt get to their bull pen so we didnt score runs . We will win todays game no Doubt .

I figured we would take this in 4 games, but predicting a first game win was probably a little too ambitious. This was this team's first appearance in the postseason, and there were going to be jitters. Even McKeon looked a little unsure. But with a game under our belts, we should come out much looser and I expect the offense - on both sides - to open up some. As long as we keep the guys in front of Bonds off base - AND PITCH TO BONDS - we will be fine. Penny could be a bum today, but he could come out and pitch a shut out. He could go either way, and you get the feeling that since this matters, he will rise to the occasion. I like our chances today. Besides, everything went right for the Giants yesterday. I mean, Bonds stole 2nd? Alfonzo was actually a productive hitter?! Their team is solid, but by no means unstoppable. After Bonds, they dont have a whole lot to be afraid of.

animal house....haha

anyway, actually we are in better shape than the Braves and Yanks....we lost on the road....they lost at home
