Tropical Storm Ernesto

Featured Replies

the NHC is still predicting it to be a storm when it gets here.

also my school is making us go today... LAAAAAAAME.

It won't be the first time the NHC downgrades a storm and then it is the opposite.

I am suprised I dont have class today. Maybe they want us to go to the beach or somthing.

Holly... common, you supposed to use the day off to make sure that everyone thats important to you knows that you're planning some kind of Marlins watch party.

Either that or yeah, go lay in the sun... I love free days.

Yeah official mess up on this one. I guess they are not taking any chances base on last year. I'll take it though. :D

It'll have about half a day to restrengthen now...we'll see what that does to the winds and pressure.

ALL SCHOOLS CLOSED WEDNESDAY.

This is hallarious

why hilarious?

1) Look outside.

2) look at the radar for Ernesto. Notice its most powerful cells are as big as Hialeah, and barely as strong as a 4:00PM Afternoon summer thunderstorm.

3) Because B4P hasnt convinced me otherwise yet, and he is all knowing.

1) I'm in Tally-town

2) They've let off school for lesser meteorological events than this (including a bizarre string of off days several years ago)

3) I've planted a bomb in your brain. Now you are convinced, or byebye left lobe.

still 45mph / 1005mb pressure / NW @ 13mph

If it slows down even a little bit, which I don't expect, it may finally intensify. Its got overall good organization and it should start gaining some punch. I am sitting borderline on cat 1 to high end tropical storm right now.

They said the pressure was rising which doesn't indicate that the hurricane is in the process of strengthening.

It hasn't done much in the way today, just fluctuated pressure wise. But the pressure at 2 PM is extrapolated and you always take that with a grain of salt give or take a few millibars.
