Best game I've ever been to.

From Pudge's early home run & the crowd going wild, to Redman pitching 6 innings of great baseball, to Conine taking a home run away, to the bullpen picking up the quiet bats by keeping the score tied for 5 innings.

It seemed the Giants had scoring threats in every inning. 18 men left on base. I think I read that they left a man in scoring position in every single inning from the 7th on. But once again everyone out of the pen was gold. Except Looper, and at least he got himself out of further trouble, & the Giants left the bases loaded.

I still thought the team had to be really discouraged after the Giants got that run to take the lead, but then Jose Cruz Jr dropped that fly ball & I remembered that this is no ordinary team.

Stop for a moment and think how bizarre it is that Cruz dropped that fly ball. How many times do you think he'd drop it if you hit him 500 identical fly balls. Once? Twice? Stuff like that just doesn't happen! Then to make it worse, Alex is showing bunt & Worrell can't throw a strike and walks him, which is almost as inexcusable as Looper walking Aurelia. Later when Castillo was up w/ 1 out & bases juiced I thought he'd tie the game for sure, & we all cried out in frustration when Worrell made a good play to get the lead run. When Pudge went to the plate with 2 outs I said you know what? Pudge may get an out here & we may lose, but there's no one I would rather have at the plate in this situation. He's got the perfect swing to give us a nice sweet single. And then he hit it and now I have no voice left for tomorrow.

Go Marlins. We are not worthy.

Un-be-lievable.

Ya that has to be the best game I have ever been to and what a catch by Mr. Marlin. I think his defense is underrated :thumbup

I am drained after coming home from that one. Unbelievable swings of emotions late in the game. After the Marlins got out of a sticky situation in the top of 9th, Ive never heard such a loud roar that lasted the whole time between innings. A lot of the Marlins players came out of the dugout to see what they could possibly showing on the scoreboard. And then having the bases loaded for Lenny, the feeling of oh so close. Then when Looper came in, the whole attitude of the corwd seemed to change and I really smelled doom. And from heartbreak to jubilation, it was all worth it.

omg yea i am physically and emotionally drained from today. i think that there are way too many fast food places in miami to have these heart racing, blood pumping, nail biting, oh so close games. so amazing at the end though. couldnt keep the tears in

I don't know how it played at home but when Lenny Harris came up (to pinch-hit) the whole place went nuts. Props on every pitch. Chanting "Lenny, Lenny". I enjoyed it immensely.

It all went for not but it was one the fun moments of the game.

Go Fish !

hell yea i was chanting Lenny Lenny also. i was standing for i dont know how many innings. my throat hurts so much right now but its a good hurt. its the pain fo victory.

WOOOOOOOOO WHAT A GAME.

I was chanting Lenny as well!

The crowd interaction was amazing, sooooo loud. However, I did see a couple of people (marlins fans) nagging because of the loud atmosphere. That's amazing, if you cant stand all the roaring, the whistles, etc, stay home. Save the money, watch it at home, and leave the seat for someone whos going to go wild and cheer on the fish.

All I've got to say about the game is...

WOW.

sounded like a great game

just remember for those of you who are going tomorrow You can make an impact on the game by screaming....so SCREAM dammit, lol

well duh! lol i just hope i have enough of a voice left. if anything i'll bang my chair excessively or hit bottles of water together. anything to make more noise ( a guy brought a cow bell to the last phillie game lol)

or hit bottles of water together.

just make sure they dont burst open and soak the person in front of you. we wouldnt want a fight between 2 marlins fans.

I spent the night working, listening to the game on my makeshift radio (work at a hotel, went to a room, put the phone up to the TV, called the desk and put it on speaker) and then saw the bottom of the 11th after saying screw it and locking up the desk. Incredible, flat-out incredible. I was literally jumping around the hotel room, went back to the desk, huge smile on my face, sporting my Marlins cap, and not 15 minutes later dude walks in in all Giants gear, seriously. Mumbling, all pissed off, didn't even say a word, checked him in, smiling the whole time, he walked out, still pissed off. Made it all the better. I mean, what are the odds?

lol well i meant empty bottles of water. i dont think full ones would make much noise. i did want to kill this marlins fan today. when things were getting tense he started criticising mckeon and cabrera very loudly. he was like mckeon is 100 years old and he's putting in this 20 year old pr**k who can't hit a ball. i so wanted to turn around and say yea exactly he's 20 and is in the majors you're how old? and you arent playing, you're not even close to playing, or managing. if miguel hit a homerun right now, which isnt that unlikely, you'd be boasting how amazing that kid is and how mckeon is god.

i didnt want any fan on fan hate though so i said nothing, just looked at him when mckeon's decisions seemed to be working, as usual

Is there any worse fan than THAT fan? I hate that guy. Dude that whines about everything and then celebrates when stuff he whined about works. I know too many people like that, it drives me nuts.

it drove me nuts too. i so wanted to turn around and say all that to him but i forced myself not to. we were all there to have a good time and support out team, not get into fights. i figured i would let the marlins speak for themselves by winning the game despite what that guy thought they should do. looks like the marlins shut him up

I don't think I'm going to able to scream anything tomorrow. I'll try but I don't think it going to be possible :w00t

Go Fish !

I was reffing a volleyball game (one of my jobs) and there was about 7 other courts of pickup basketball/volleyball going on around me. One TV in the gym was showing the game and it was the bottom of the eleventh. All the games stopped and we all watched Pudge win the game. Everyone was jumping around and giving high fives. AMAZING STUFF!

Ya that has to be the best game I have ever been to and what a catch by Mr. Marlin. I think his defense is underrated :thumbup

Conine is making catches on balls that most guys wouldn't even make an attempt.

Besides the 4 RBI, Pudge also did a great job a busting up a double play. We really lucked out -- we got to see one of (if not the very) best games ever played by a hall of famer.

Keep those towels and ticket stubs for your grandchildren.

Watched the game from my home here in Cincinnati.

What a terrific game-- Pudge really came through when it counted.

Bonds is one game away from elimination. :lol

GOOD JOB MARLINS!!!

I got home late last night from the game. What a game! That had to be the most dramatic game I've ever seen. Period, not just live, but any game I've ever seen. Every pitch was dramatic. The crowd was awesome. Just a great day to be a marlins fan. Just wish I could be there today.
