The 2006 ALDS: New York Yankees VS. Detroit Tigers

About what I expected. Yankees will be down 5-3 going into their half...

Alright - we're in better shape than I expected, down 4-3 with the top of the order coming to the plate. I wouldn't be surprised to see Torre put Bernie in for Sheff if the Yanks get something going.

I would be very surprised, but we'll see.

I'm wondering who comes out for the 8th...

Freaking Proctor. How do you lose a guy you had in the hole 0-2?

That was a close one.

I cannot believe that I never picked up on the Johnny Pancakes-Todd Jones separated at birth notion, until Simmons' column.

Okay, three outs to get 2 runs. No problem.

It will be interesting to see what Torre does with Cano's spot.

Alright! Godzilla gets things started off with a single...

Oh well. At least now Torre knows to take Sheff [1-8 with 2k's and 5 LOB] out of the lineup. Start Giambi at 1B tomorrow in the 4th spot and Bernie in the 8 spot as DH.

Go Tigres! Detroit is at +145 on my Sportsbook and I think they're a great bet today.
