October 4, 200620 yr Have any of you seen the Dan Marino commercial where he says eat this food for 4 weeks and lose weight? The before and after picture doesn't look different at all. it's very annoying
October 6, 200620 yr The way the Dolphins have been playing this year it's kinda nice to see Marino on the screen...
October 6, 200620 yr Dan Marino is a legend, and you should buy anything he pitches to you. Period. You're absolutely right. :thumbup
October 6, 200620 yr Dan Marino is a legend, and you should buy anything he pitches to you. Period. You're absolutely right. :thumbup As Dan would say, "If you need a car, truck or van, who you gonna call? Maroone."
October 6, 200620 yr Dan Marino: Biggest. Sellout. EVER. What DOESN'T he pitch these days? Did he lose all of his endorsement and NFL money or something?
October 6, 200620 yr I love Dan Marino and grew up rooting for him, but he is a commercial whore. You can't watch tv for more than like 5 minutes down here without seeing one of his annoying commercials. He hocks Papa Johns, Levinson Jewelers, Maroone, Nutrisystem, and the Wing Ding just to name a few.

October 6, 200620 yr Author Peyton's commercials are pretty good. DirecTV, ESPN were very entertaining. This guy is no longer playing and yeah, the occasional advertisement isn't bad, but he's on like every 4-5 min.

You would turn down a hefty paycheck simply for filming a few commercials? I guess having all that extra money in your pocket doesn't mean anything if you're going to be cosidered a "commercial whore".

October 9, 200619 yr I love Dan Marino and grew up rooting for him, but he is a commercial whore. You can't watch tv for more than like 5 minutes down here without seeing one of his annoying commercials. He hocks Papa Johns, Levinson Jewelers, Maroone, Nutrisystem, and the Wing Ding just to name a few. You have got to be kidding me, he is quite possibly the biggest name in this entire city. He is a hero to this city. Of course people will have him pitch their product in a commerical. Its just smart business to use the cities most recognizable icon in a commercial.
October 10, 200619 yr you're right. he is a hero in this city. In fact, he gets a bigger ovation when one of his commericals is on the screen at a dolphins game, than any of our players do. I shouldn't have been so hard on him. can't blame a guy for taking deals when they are offered.
October 10, 200619 yr Last night I saw a new Marino ad... this one is pretty beneath him. He was pitching property being sold in Virginia as future home sites... Just like that guy that used to be on "Chips" who pitches land in Arkansas.
October 10, 200619 yr Author scottolsensmokestoomuch should be banned. I know you all love Dan marino for obvious reasons but just like the last post pitching property being sold in Virginia? That's just wrong. If it's for "the official snack of the NFL" i have no problem with it but he's going way beyond that.

It's refreshing to see someone of such high moralities who would turn down that paycheck.
October 11, 200619 yr Author Yeah It isn't him but why don't they mix it up a little bit maybe Emmit Smith or something Troy Aikman who knows?
October 11, 200619 yr Yeah It isn't him but why don't they mix it up a little bit maybe Emmit Smith or something Troy Aikman who knows? Why did you randomly name two Cowboys? lol
October 11, 200619 yr Yeah It isn't him but why don't they mix it up a little bit maybe Emmit Smith or something Troy Aikman who knows? So you'd like to see a Cowboy doing a commercial for a Maroone car dealership in South Florida? Dan Marino is arguably the greatest QB in NFL history. You're going to see a lot of him. Respect the man.
