October 25, 200619 yr Not sure what's going on with everyone's memory, but we didn't have a CF Platoon this season. Unless you mean between Reggie & Amezaga. But by the second half Amezaga was starting almost every game in CF, and not being swapped out vs LHP. With that said, I don't see how you can call any of these other CFs worse.
October 25, 200619 yr Juan Pierre is close. Very close. Yeah, I think I might even given our guys the edge. Defensively they are about the same I suppose, but offensively they are two different types of players. Actually, I think if Ross stays with this outfield thing that he could build up a better throwing arm than Juan Pierre. Pierre has the worst center field arm in the game. And needless to say, Ross has already proven that he's a better offensive player than Pierre. Amezaga is getting there.

October 25, 200619 yr Duffy, Logan, Taveras, Anderson, and Clark for sure. Maybes on a production scale would be Kotsay, Pierre, and Sullivan. Now if you put Taveras/Chris Burke, I'd remove him. Chris Burke makes up for Taveras pathetic slugging and crushes lefties.

A guy like JP has to have a .360+ OBP to be valuable, and he hasn't done that for 2 years. Unlike some other players, he isn't 25 and looking to improve.
