Tomorrow could Be Derek Lee's last game in a Marlins uni. Yay :thumbup . We could of won the game if Lee could actually hit in the clutch for once in this series

Last night, we were 5 outs from VICTORY - we couldn't hang on.

 

Today, when the Yankees were 5 outs from VICTORY, I was thinking "so this is how it's done..........." - (yes, I know they have $100 million more payroll than we do - but execution is key no matter what the circumstances)

 

The Yankees are my team of choice now since we will be eliminated. I hope they CRUSH the Cubs and all the curses stay in tact. After all, what is baseball without 2 of the best curses in history??????

Yep, I have to admit that I am a life-long Yankees fan, a life-long Red-Sox hater, and a Marlins fan since they began. I am really hoping for a Yankees-Marlins WS -- I'd be rooting for the Marlins, but wouldn't be too upset either way.

guys... it's not the end of the world

 

even if we do end up losing this series, it's not like we shouldn't be pleased. the marlins got farther than anyone expected. and there's some serious stadium talk going on. at the very least, there will be more fan support next year, which is important if we want to keep a viable team in south florida long term.

 

it's also not the end of the world if you like other sports. one of the good things about postseason baseball heartbreak (not that we have any experience in this area) is that you don't have to say "well, we'll just have to wait til NEXT YEAR", because this heartbreak occurs right in the midst of NFL and college football season. NHL just begun and the NBA season is just an earshot away. i don't mean to trivialize this as some sort of "undedicated" sellout, but it certainly makes it hurt a lot less to know that my CANES KICK SOME MAJOR A$$.

 

okay, tomorrow's game should be easy to win. after that, we just need to get two in a row.. or else, .. not the end of the world
