Im down for the teal jerseys but the caps need to stay black...the teal caps were too much and were unintimidating, we looked like the local little league team sponsored by Joe's Pizza... teal is a beautiful color but its not very tough so it should only be used as an accent or a highlight...

I saw the name of the topic and thought Imus had joined the forums.

Hiyoooooo.

Anywho, I like the black, but I'm not for eliminating the teal and incorporating all this orange. Yuck. Bring back the teal into the color scheme. It was unique.

Since this has turned into a uniform discussion thread, I hate teal as a dominant color. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

Those all teal hats were terrible, even if they are classic, and the teal uniforms just don't look as good as the new ones with teal outlining.

However, that doesn't mean I think our uniforms are perfect. If I were given a chance to redo the uni's, I'd ditch the pinstriping and go to a solid color scheme with teal piping on the jerseys (to see what I'm talking about, look at the Mets solid home whites). That way, I think there's enough teal to set us apart, but not enough to just overpower and ruin the jersey. I'd keep the road greys and black jerseys the way they are, and I'd reintroduce the alternate sunday jersey as a vest with black underneath.

Teal as a spring training/BP jersey works...but please don't let them wear those in a real game. Same with the teal hats. I used to own both at one time but come on, it would look ridiculous for a major league team. Remember the D-Rays rainbow lettering? Exactly.

I really like the 2003-present set of uniforms, including the '04-'05 Sunday ones that got discontinued. And what is Loria's obsession with orange? :p

I agree 100% on the teal...it is/was dreadful. :thumbdown

Teal-dominated unis belong in a beer league not on a MLB team, though I love teal as an accent. I love our unis now, they look very sharp. Also, not a fan of the vests. The solid teal unis burnt my retinas.

I like the white pinstripes and black uniforms with a touch of teal. However, if I ever any more orange on the uniforms I will cry.

Wish theyd bring back the Fish on the chest jersey...those pwned.

I wish we'd bring back the sleeveless jerseys for good.

And the teal....I liked them and don't care if they players think its a "fruitcake" colour. They get paid millions.....oops I forgot this is the Marlins, Well Hundreds of thousands.....they should just shut up and be happy to be in the majors :lol

Good god no. What is it with you people and teal? I know we're near south beach and all, but these are adults we're talking about. No self respecting man I know would be caught dead in that. At this point, we should try pink.

I think teal is a very nice color. If they would use it in a way that there's no overkill, it'll be fine. Just get rid of all the orange.

Well what if they made it a darker shade of teal? Back in the 90's the Marlins used a very bright teal that really stood out. But imagine if they toned it down to resemble more of what the Jacksonville Jaguars wear. I think that could look really nice. The old teal was too much Miami Dolphins... and as for the orange, I really hope they can get away from that. Whats the deal with everything in Miami having to be variations of orange and green???
