Game 3 vs Pirates Thoughts

Featured Replies

Nice game by Reggie... 1/3 hr bb

Cabs is back with 2 oppo doubles

Hammer with the game winning RBI

Gregg slammed the door

Olsen pitched well but LaRoche made him pay

Tank and Lindstrom looked awesome

i actually really like reggie in the leadoff spot today and that is where i would like to see alfy whe he does play...i think i reggie is definitely improved from last year...just a small sample but he looks more confident and like he is having better at bats

We were lucky to win the game, but I'll definitely take it.

lucky? there were a lot of lucky break for the buccos. check swing hits, balls bouncing off the pitcher's foot and base paths

Great win tonight. They showed they can plug away and go ahead late. IMHO though it should have been blown wide open early. The first and second innings resulted in poor base running decisions. After two the score should have been 3-0 as opposed to 1-0.

I'm thrilled with hermida's AB's. It's nice to see him swinging at a pitch before he gets two strikes on him. Uggla also looked good again.

I'm just exciting tomorrow game.

Here is some clue.

Last 3 years, Armas record : 18-23, 4.98 ERA

Last 3 years, Armas vs. Fish : 1-4, 7.27 ERA

Armas faced Fishes

vs. Uggla : 4 for 11, 1HR

vs. Miggy : 7 for 10, 1HR

vs. Hanley : 3 for 8, 1HR

vs. Hammer : 3 for 7

vs. Boone : 3 for 6, 2HR

vs. Hermida : 2 for 6

vs. Olivo : 2 for 5

It's very positive records.

Holy grammar, Batman!

Anywho, tomorrow should be a runs fest, unless nolasco shows he can be a starter.

Olsen survived despite getting behind to alot of hitters and giving up twelve fly balls. He held the Pirates to three runs on five hits, but man he can't let LaRoche own him like that. If he gets him out its 1 run on three hits he's is lucky that he didn't get into trouble with the rest of the lineup; because if a struggling LaRoche, who on a good team would never face a lefty, can go three for three against you your in trouble.

Go easy on the guy. He may be the only Korean Marlins fan around.

My game 3 thoughts?

- Miguel is getting his groove back. The way he worked over Capps was beautiful.

- Scotty was strong despite catching a ball on the other heel and the bullpen was dominant.

- Hermida continues to come on strong off the DL, this time off a lefty in Duke.

- Gregg the new closer? From his postgame comments, he thinks he is in the running. It will be interesting to see who gets the call in the next save situation.

- Abercrombie leading off? Do we now talk abou the shot in Pittsburgh? Lets make this a temporary thing. If you want to keep Hanley in the heart of the lineup, move Hermida up, not Reggie "Dreamz" Abercrombie.

Thats all for now.

I just hope Hermida can keep this up, perhaps we can slide him into the number 2 or even number 1 spot if he keeps getting a good OBP.

Hermida RF

Hanley SS

Cabrera 3B

Willingham LF

Uggla 2B

nice 1-5 till Jacobs gets back
