This might be the dumbest thread I have ever seen on any forum.

 

If you want to get on someones butt get on Miggy, who not only makes mental errors but also throwing errors by just being lazy. If Ramirez was a CFer he would be playing Center right now, the fact is he isn't. He is a young shortstop and he will make some mistakes but for the most part they have been funny hops and lack of concentration, which tells me he WILL fix them throughout his career. What he has that other young SS don't however is an amazing average and OBP for a guy making his second year starting in the MLB, along with the pop teams can only wish their SS had.

Hanley's .950 fielding percantage isnt that bad.

 

Cabs .908 is rather disgusting though

Hanley will be fine, its not fair to judge a guy who's only 22. BTW if you look at stats between Hanley and Gonzo....

 

 

Hanley Ramirez: 26 Errors, .963 fielding percentage rookie season, Double Plays: 111

Alex Gonzalez: 27 Errors, .955 fielding percentage, Double Plays: 85

 

 

This Season:

Hanley: 9 Errors, .952 fielding, 30 Double Plays.

Alex Gonzales: 8 Errors, .960 fielding, 31 Double Plays.

 

Are you kidding me? Hanley is an incredible hitter, A-Gon cant even compare, and his defense this year is very similar to A-Gon's. Also, Hanley had a better rookie year than Alex Gonzalez did, get off the kid's case, he will be alright.

The idea of bringing back Alex Gonzalez and moving Hanley Ramirez to CF is the dumbest thing I've ever heard anywhere about any topic. Alex Gonzalez, overall, is one of the worst starters in baseball.

I don't see why you guys are writing this thread off as dumb. Perhaps I am the one who is missing something here, but what goes through your minds when you watch Ramirez's inability to get to sharply hit groundballs?

 

Playing the infield isn't all about not botching the routine plays. It's also about getting to the tougher ones. Since opening day I've been unimpressed with his attempts to do that.

 

Yup.

 

Countless time I've seen Hanley leave his feet from his original position for a sharp groundball only to come up empty. He isn't really good defensively.
