ya, I know. With Borch up, you at least know he's not gonna swing at every pitch around his heels. Borch can hit the ball out of the ballpark, but both K waayy to much.

Borchard can't be sent down. He'd have to be put through waivers.

 

Really, I can't see how anybody would be disappointed in Reggie being sent down. I'd say this finally puts the Reggie Abercrombie Leadoff Experiment permanently to bed, though I fear if he is recalled again this season it will once again rear its ugly head.

Reggie atleast gives us speed off the bench. Borchard is a LOT better hitter, but it's always useful to have a guy with speed there. Just look at today's game, if Carroll gets a single there we tie the game (not a hate on Carroll, just sayin'). If we didn't have Abercrombie, we'd have to get more then a single by Carroll to be able to score.

 

Given the option with how our bench is currently set up, I'd rather have Abercrombie then Borchard. But ofcoarse, Borchard doesn't have options, so no problem at all with Abercrombie getting the knife.

Borchord is one of the worst hitters in the league. Give Any one else a chance
