I agree. He has been uncharacteristically wild this season. Even in his worst years (2004 and 2006) his walk totals were relatively low.

I agree that he has been pitching awful, but that doesn't exclude the possibilty that for maybe at least a short while he may have been pitching with some discomfort in his arm.

I just think that the Marlins should still take an MRI on Willis even if he doesn't want to. You can NEVER be too safe on things, and with Sanchez going down the last thing we need is another pitcher hurt.

 

Take the MRI, found out the results and push him back a couple days. Let him start on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I wouldn't go that far. This start that Dontrelle is going to miss is the FIRST start he's missed in his 5 year career. I don't think that qualifies for destroying the durability issue. Now, if he winds up hurt, and misses a few starts, then you Dontrelle haters can rejoice and sit back and say I told you so. Let's also not forget that the whole situation was caused by a typical Dontrelle all-out play, where he layed his hand out to try and make a play and somebody STEPPED ON his hand. Let's just hope he's ok, and this is just pre-cautionary. I think that's what we all want, but reading this board makes me question that.
