JonDigital
Marlins purchased the contract of LHP Erasmo Ramirez from Triple-A Albuquerque. Ricky transferred to the 60 day. We are now World Series bound. http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/p...MLB&id=3667

FutureGM
His career record is alright, 8-4 with a 3.90 ERA. I like the fact that he strikes out over twice as many people as he walks.

Jiggy
Who in the world is that? :lol . second He is a LHP with a really good strikeout to walk ratio. He is also someone I used to trade for every time I played the GM Career mode of MLB 2K6. [/worthless post]
IrishHarrington
not that this move imparticular is the seminal moment of the season but it is going to be a long year and the fact that we really are scraping the bottom the of the barrell shows the lack of major league talent in our system....this year is murphy's law
FutureGM
Well, when we use up virtually all of our MLB-ready rookies last season, it's not a surprise. I think that Ramirez can contribute to this team better than Obermueller can, that's for sure.

True I think that Ramirez can contribute to this team better than Obermueller can, that's for sure. I wouldnt count on any extended contribution from Ramirez , middle relievers have a shelf life of about 5-10 games before they revert back to form only justin miller has been a fairly consistent positive in middle relief so far this year (knock on wood)
Marlins2003
From what I gather doing some minimal research is that he's isn't a lefty "specialist" just because he's a southpaw rather he's a decent innings eater that is no better against lefties as righties. It looks like Pinto stays the main guy out of the pen when a lefty is needed and Ramirez' role is like any guy out of the pen called on for non-situational relief. Last time I checked his ERA was below 2?
