Here's something thats been bothering me for a while, i used to love that channel. Classic NBA games, MLB, College Sports, NFL films, Sportscentury was an amazing show.

 

now i put it on and i get classic bowling, World Series of Poker, Sailing etc :|

 

seriously what the hell went wrong? why the hell did they decide to change the programming so drastically? Classic Bowling!?

yeah that Channel has seriously gone down the toilet. They always have car shows on there which makes absolutely no sense.

While I do enjoy watching poker on TV, you make a good point (besides, the 2005 World Series of Poker is not "classic")

 

ESPN Classic has gone down in flames the past couple of years.

NFL took its stuff to the NFL Network.

NBA to NBATV.

NHL and ESPN split.

MLB took their stuff to the new Baseball Channel which will launch in 2009.

Cape could probably shed some light on this but they took it off regular cable here about a month or two ago. My brothers were pissed.

thats f***ing bulls***, i dont even know why ESPN keeps the channel alive.... you got serious issues when the bulk of your programming is classic bowling :| (thats what i see the most on the digital tv guide). you got even more issues if you actually tune in for classic bowling. that channel used to be one of my favorites.

They've now added american gladiators to add insult to injury. :|

I will have DirecTV HD by then. Because I know Baseball Channel will have an HD version, just like NFL Network.

The only thing that this network is good for anymore is instant classic, and I'm not even sure they still do it all the time.

Cheap Seats was a decent show, I'm pretty sure they have canned it though.

Yep, same for UNC cable systems. It got replaced by VH1 Classic :|

Most people have had ESPN Classic on digital, but certain sports crazy markets had it on regular cable. However, that is going away quickly because ESPN Classic has lost most of its library rights. Digital Cable or the Dish will get it back.

we had directv for 5 years, installed by the company and they told us that there would be interference when it rained and snowed...what we got was a big black screen that said SEARCHING FOR SIGNAL...and oh my god was it annoying...once high speed internet came out, we switched to charter communications and had verizon DSL, which was alright...then charter offered the ol phone, cable, and internet on one package and then it was a no-contest and we couldnt be happier with it...although i must say that it was interesting to find out that directv is a descendent from the company that Howard Hughes created...so i guess for my family...directv was just allergic to working correctly in inclement weather :whistle ...
