September 1, 200718 yr Erik Bedard might miss the rest of the year from an oblique injury... otherwise i think he'd win the CY Young I went with Beckett because unlike last year he has the stats to back up his 16-6 record.
September 2, 200718 yr how is Ichiro an other? He's having an awesome season and should get serious consideration if Seattle makes the playoffs.
September 2, 200718 yr how is Ichiro an other? He's having an awesome season and should get serious consideration if Seattle makes the playoffs. Doesn't look very likely. They are collapsing BIG TIME.
September 4, 200718 yr i cant stop laughing/crying the fact that whoever made this poll put chipper jones an MVP canidate and not Prince Fielder is priceless!!! obviously, not a baseball person. also, why isnt ichiro up there. a guy with now 7 straight 200 hit seasons, and unquestionably the leader of a playoff potential team. and you wanna use the arguement of seattle NOT being a playoff team...then why use chipper, the braves arent any closer than seattle is. ill play along thou... NL MVP : Fielder ROTY: Braun Cy: Peavy Comeback: Ankiel AL MVP: A-Rod ROTY: Dice K or Guthrie...we'll see with September Cy: I think its Josh or Johan Comeback: Biggest Waste of Money Roger Clemens Managers of the year American Terry Francona Boston Eric Wedge Cleveland Mike Soscia (forgive spelling) LAA John McLaren Seattle Jim Leyland Detroit National Bob Melvin Arizona Manny Acta Wash. September 5, 200718 yr what did Carlos Pena come back from? sucking? His "comeback" is not facing left-handing pitching and entering his prime. :o
September 6, 200718 yr In 2004 Carlos Pena hit 27 Homers with 82 RBIs. Last year he barely played in 18 games and only had 33 ABs. I would say that merits him consideration for the Comeback of the Year Award

If that's not a good comeback I don't know what is.

I always thought the award was for injuries/illness/retirement Griffey back from injury, Ankiel back from his mental issues, Hamilton back from drugs, and so on
