The best Marlins lineup idea ever!

So me and PWG were reading everyone's post, and we decided to use the information you have all provided us to build the perfect lineup! Here it goes.

1. Amezaga, CF - He will battle it out every time. Sure, he loses most of those battles, but he will battle. 1 out.

2. Cantu, 2B - We traded Uggla for a bullpen arm or something, he sucks. So since Cantu isn't Uggla, we put him in at 2B. He won't strikeout, so that's probably him on base.

3. Hammer, LF - He'll hit a homer, Marlins up 2-0

4. Jake, 1B - He'll hit another homer, Marlins up 3-0

5. Brett Carroll, RF - Mungo shows us the light, so we waived Hermida outright. Carroll probably swings and misses, K, 2 outs, but his glove actually give us a run. Marlins up 4-0

6. Andino, 3B - We saved the best for the 6th spot. If, for some reason, someone infront of him didn't give us a run or something, Andino brings him in. Home run. Fish 5-0.

7. Treanor, C - He gets a fat pitch and bloops it into center for a single.

8. Hanley, SS - Fear of Hanley is why this lineup works. He protects the 1-7 men. Hanley obviously hits a homer. The ump gives him an extra run based on principle. Fish up 8-0.

9. Pitcher, P - Strikeout. 3 outs, end of the inning.

With this lineup, we should be able to get 8 runs in every inning!

Fredi, if you read this, you can thank us later.

Stats for NL 2B for 2007

Uggla was 1st in runs with 113 (also 1st in MLB), 1st in hr's with 31, (also 1st in MLB), 3rd in rbi's with 88 (4th in MLB), sb well not all that great. Hanley will get you 50 so you don't need him to run. Avg. hmmm ok he isn't going to win a batting title.

Stats for NL 2B for 2006

2cd in Runs with 105 (also 2cd in MLB) (went up in 07) 2cd in hr with 27 (also 2cd in MLB) (went up in 07) 3rd in rbi's with 90 (also 3rd in MLB) (went up in 07)

Tell you what I'd take Uggla over Pedroia any day of the week only for his bat. For def. I want Pedroia. I would take both of them over Cantu. He had 1 good year for the Rays in 05.

I will agree with you on Hermida. He is hurt way to much. You may be ably to send him packing for an arm in the pen.

Isn't he doing pretty good at the plate this year?

He is 5/14 with 2 runs and 3 rbi's in 7 games. Thats ok I guess.

considering you thought the original post was real, i dont know whether to assume if this' sarcasm or not.

...thats ok? a backup hitting .350something and 3rbis in the 8-spot.

I love this idea. While we are at it lets make this the Rotation.

1) Byung-Hyun Kim - At least he might Pitch some innings.

2) Reynal Pinto - Too good for the bullpen.

3) Kevin Gregg - He started a couple of times for the angels didn't he? Besides, we really need to raise his trade value before the deadline. Not everyday you can get a top notch closer who can start too. He'd almost be just like John Smoltz.

4) Scott Olsen - I'm on the edge on this one. I really think he should go back to the minors for more seasoning.

5) John Patterson - Maybe the Rangers will release him so we can get a second chance at him. Just maybe.

8. Hanley, SS

lol

Are you kidding us?

If you couldn't tell this was a joke from looking at the first hitter in the lineup then its worse than I thought. What is so complicated about putting up the obvious and only possible lineup? There is no debate. Amezega isn't a fixture in the lineup because he's only a temporary starter until either de Aza or Maybin return to the team. Until that happens, the best place to bat him is 8th.

Once Maybin is called up, the true lineup will take shape. Let's make it simple:

Step 1 - Maybin becomes the leadoff hitter.

Step 2 - This enables Hanley and Uggla to move down in the order. Hanley bats third, Uggla will bat fifth or sixth depending on how Jacobs does.

Your end result is a lineup that resembles this:

1. Maybin

2. Hermida

3. Ramirez

4. Willingham

5. Uggla

6. Jacobs

7. Cantu

8. Rableo/Treanor
