July 8, 200818 yr another no walk game 8.46 K/9, 0.81 BB/9 in his past 6 games, a 10.5 K/BB ratio. 1.83 ERA, 0.78 WHIP to go along with it this is f***ing insane Averaging 7.3 inn per start too............................................... .............. christ
July 8, 200818 yr If an NL all-star pitcher can't pitch or gets injured, Ricky HAS to be seriously considered as a replacement. I've always liked him and his nasty curveball. He was sometimes inconsistent in 2006, but when he was on, he was on big-time. I hope he can keep it up and perhaps motivate some of the other guys in the rotation as well.
July 8, 200818 yr That curve is a beautiful thing. The best I've seen on the Marlins since Vanden Hurk, but Nolasco is actually learning to control it.
July 8, 200818 yr good to see gregg able to close last two game after not able to close game on 4-5 of july
July 8, 200818 yr Author what took you so long? Even a sh*tty guy can have a few great games because he's "on" The fact he's been able to locate his curveball like this for 6 strait games shows it's not just about him being "on", but the fact that he's figuring it out.
July 8, 200818 yr His curve is beautiful. And awww did you see him out there signing for the Fish fans after the game! Good for you Ricky!
July 8, 200818 yr He should of went out in the ninth. I don't care if Gregg got a 1-2-3 inning, he was rolling. His 8th inning was probably his best inning all night. Nontheless a great performance. This is how we have to win ballgames, these last two days. Getting guys without the benifit of a home run. Yea we had a homer tonight from Jorge, but earlier in the season we would of need 2 or 3 homers to win.
July 8, 200818 yr Here's the nights recap... - We WIN! - Nolasco is still the man - Hendrix is no longer in the rotation - Phils lost - Gregg actually didn't implode ...all seems well in the world

No he is on, and it hasn't been for just 6 games.?
July 8, 200818 yr Yes Ricky is really becoming our ace now. And it was also a beautiful thing to see gregg without any fk-ups. WOOT!!!
July 8, 200818 yr I was hoping since Fredi got tossed that Tosca would let Nolasco pitch the 9th. Even though Gregg pitched a 1-2-3 inning, I still don't trust him anymore. And did he even throw a first-pitch strike to any of the batters he faced?

July 8, 200818 yr Like I said a month ago Nolasco is the Malrins "ACE" 10 wins nice. Note::: ***Nice factoid the Marlins are (2-0) when Fredi has been thrown out of a game, he showed some FIRE! and it paid off! :gofish
July 8, 200818 yr Another thing, the stupid call by "Fat" Joe West didn't get to Nolsaco, and he went out and did his thing.
July 8, 200818 yr It would have been nice to see Ricky finish the game but apparently it's against our team's beliefs.
July 8, 200818 yr he showed some FIRE! and it paid off! :gofish He really didn't show much fire, Joe West was just a douche.
