Josh Johnson tonight!

Featured Replies

Really looking forward to the return of Josh Johnson vs Dodgers.

If Josh could return, and be a factor in the starting rotation that would be great for

the second half of the season.

I'll be tuned into tonight for sure.

:whistle

I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Trying to block out last year's "comeback" and reassure myself it will be different this time.

Can't wait to see him tonight. I just hope he doesn't suffer another setback.

You must not speak of these things! ::slaps louie with a large trout::

So excited. It sounds like he's 100% ready to go!

If he can and Volstad can be effective (which they can)... we're gonna be a force to reckon with this second half.

Can't wait for tonight...I'm pretty sure JJ will have a strong start...from what I have gathered from his rehab starts he is healthy and ready to go!

Mine is better :p

Tough matchup tonight...Dodgers CAN hit....will they? Who knows with that club. They also have good pitching to throw against us.

If Josh can come back and do what he can do, then thats just as good as trading for a high priced pitcher and giving up a lot of prospects.

I hope he isnt nervous out there and just tries his best..but not do too much!

I'll be happy with a decent effort...let's not forget.. he's coming off rehab.

Isn't Uggla coming back today too?

I have been looking forward to this day for some time. Here are some encouraging words from JJ:

Johnson had no setbacks and regained enough strength to throw 111 pitches (eight shutout innings) in his last rehab assignment six days ago for Class AA Carolina.

Johnson said he felt strong enough to pitch another two or three innings.

"I've been working hard since day one," he said. "Never gave up. Never let up. Never took a day off. I went through a dead arm a little bit. That's the only thing that happened."

also

"I just want to help this bullpen out,'' said Johnson, who has exceeded 100 pitches four times in his 29 major-league starts. "They've been working hard and I've been hanging out."
