July 17, 200817 yr Keep it Real I mean Teal. all this sh*t is wack. M with the fish (like in the banner at the top of the page)
July 17, 200817 yr So do we actually know there is going to be a big change to the colors/logo/uniforms? Or is this just speculation? The logo will change once they become the Miami Marlins in 2011. Not sure if the colors will change too, but Loria has hinted about black and silver. Oh, ok I mean yeah I knew the logo would change, but I wasn't sure if it was a definite on the colors as well. I would like it if we kept our colors, and just changed the F to a block M and left it at that. I don't want a big f***ing deal change.
July 17, 200817 yr Hows about Magenta and Flourescent Yellow? not quite but how about these two VOMIT! I would rather have Doodoo brown and Lime green wait a second...
July 17, 200817 yr Hows about Magenta and Flourescent Yellow? not quite but how about these two You do realize "unique" and "f***ing terrible" are not mutually exclusive, right?
July 17, 200817 yr Sorry, I just don't like the plain M (nor, in particular, do I like the blue/orange scheme). That said, I'm not particularly enthralled with the whole name change (Miami Marlins just sounds tacky. To me, they will always be the Florida Marlins)...at least it gets us a new stadium, though. I heard something about the Montreal Expos M...if they do that, I want whoever thought that idea up shot where he stands.

July 17, 200817 yr Hows about Magenta and Flourescent Yellow? not quite but how about these two Heinous.
July 17, 200817 yr ^all those caps are just fashion caps. IE you have the shoes and the shirt that match the cap. None are serious ideas from me or anyone else. The site has a bunch of MLB, NHL, NBA and custom caps that are all crazy.

July 17, 200817 yr Author Whoa folks! I was not suggesting a color change. Teal, Black, and silver, great colorway. The orange and blue cap are just to show a pass of the Old Miami Marlins team. I'm just like the history of sports and love the fact that the name is going to be used for the current team. By the way the next time I hear some say that people in Florida don't care or know any thing about baseball I will direct them here. You folks rock!!!! And I agree, the fashion caps bite. Attica73

To me, they will always be the Florida Marlins)...at least it gets us a new stadium, though. I'm 100% with you there. We already have the Miami Heat and Dolphins (both of whom I love), I like that we were the FLORIDA Marlins, but yeah like you said, whatever gets us a new stadium.
July 17, 200817 yr could get a little close to the logo next time you take the picture? I can barely see it.
July 17, 200817 yr I like the M and I like it in all black. The more I look at this logo though the more I see a creepy dead fish especially the eyes and I am starting to hate it.
July 18, 200817 yr do you do these yourself? could you make a current marlin hat have a teal bill? not a photoshop god but like this? xactly- I would LOVE THAT sh*t!
July 18, 200817 yr do you do these yourself? could you make a current marlin hat have a teal bill? not a photoshop god but like this? xactly- I would LOVE THAT sh*t! I like that too, I think the F might look good in teal too. even if the brim stays black.
July 18, 200817 yr How about this for a serious consideration.... Sort of like the 97 cap right? Except a little darker? I think it would be pretty cool: I vote for this color scheme for a hat with the logo from my avatar. And let me also say, it doesn't have to be the same hat/color scheme with every Jersey. We might stick with an all-black cap for either the road or home jerseys, but I'd like to see at least one jersey worn semi-regularly that would go with the black-brimmed teal cap.

July 18, 200817 yr All of you are right about the old feel. That is the purpose. Using the old cap design brings the spirit of Miami Baseball to the New Marlins. I love sports history and think that the Miami Marlins history should be explored though the current club. Heck Satchel Page pitched for the old Marlins!!!! History!!!!! Anyway thanks for the replies and there has to be some more old style ball cap lovers out there..........right? Custom Miami Marlins Caps Wouldn't this kind of be ironic, not to mention silly. Orange and Blue as in the Florida Gators when the Miami Hurricanes are Orange and Green and I am sure the "Marlins" dont want anything to do with the U of M. I hate the hat styles way way way too old fashioned, I like our hats now I will probably still be wearing the black marlins hat now when they open the new stadium if the "new" hats and colors are too gross. Don't know why you would say that. They have UM Day at the park once a year and it is always attended very well. Over the years they have had a very good relationship. I doubt they would go with the same colors but I also doubt they would go with the same colors as a division rival. Black and silver seems to be the road they are going to take.
July 18, 200817 yr To what? I think he had another picture posted, but I am just getting a ? instead of a picture.
July 18, 200817 yr It is the Miami marlins cap with the marlin swinging the bat. Am I guessing the Miami Dolphins Cartoon Logo that they wear on their helmets
July 19, 200817 yr ugghh, that custom orange and blue hat looks almost exactly like the Mets' hat The Marlins wore the first cap during the 1957 season. The ... Marlins came around in 1993.... 1957 not possible, much... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miami_Marlins_(IL) Now known as the Fort Myers Miracle... nice
