re: the Fish, the team has about 14 players due for Arbitration, maybe more. Benifest does things in interesting ways. Next year, with a little tweaking, or just health, the Fish are MORE of a threat to the Phils than the Mets, who have to overhaul their pitching almost totally outside of Santana and Pelfrey.

 

I think I hate the Marlins more than the Mets. These guys have played the Phillies tough since forever. What with their small payroll politics and still winning two WS since our team has even appeared in a WS. Where do they find all their prospects?

 

No, I have to like the Marlins and if it weren't for Phillies might be a fan. They have smart baseball management and build from within, both of which I like. I don't like Mets almost as much as Yankees, because of late it has been stupid baseball management getting what success they do by the shotgunning of their huge piles of cash. Gotta hate a team that can blindly buy 3 stars, being successful if 1-1/2 pan out.
