November 3, 200322 yr The White Sox have called a press conference for 3:00 CST (4:00 EST) today to presumably announce that Ozzie Guillen will be named the new manager. In case it was not posted earlier, the Sun-Times reported that all signs point to Guillen.

November 3, 200322 yr Ozzie is a great guy, was a great 3B coach, and will be a great manager. Good luck to him and the White Sox. I'm disappointed he's leaving, but I'm glad that he's getting his chance to manage, and for our new friends, the Sox.

November 3, 200322 yr A lot of people on whitesoxinteractive aren't peased with hiring ozzie. It's a mixed reaction among our fans, as some wanted a guy with experience like Cito Gaston. I personally like the move, I loved Ozzie as a player, and I think he will be a great manager. The only thing that worries me is Ozzie has no experiene as a manager, but i think he wil do a good job for us as a manager, I just hope there aren't too may growing pains as he gains experience. Sorry we had to take Ozzie from you guys though, sounds like you were grooming him to be your manager, but trust me, we need him more than you do.
