2009 Slogan Voting Finals

Featured Replies

"A Groundbreaking Season" has nothing to do with the 2009 Florida Marlins...so don't vote for it, people!

I'm not crazy about "Fishing for October" either, so it gets my vote as the lesser of two bad ones.

I love Fishing for October, been voting for it since the first round.

That said, I heavily dislike "A Groundbreaking Season". Outside the stadium, it has nothing to do with this team.

How is do the Math not here something with 1997 2003 counting to 2009 should be the slogan

Because people didn't vote for it.

I mean a "Groundbreaking Season" could have double meaning, we've finally broken ground on the stadium and somehow we shock the world and break through :lol Im just trying to makes sense of it.

Fishing for October makes senses too and is what every team aims for..

I think both slogans can be done well with a banner... If Breaking ground wins.. you could have the banner split with DS and new images if they ever get released and the other one have a fishing rod, fish for a WS trophy :lol I'll leave that to Beetle

I personally like both, so I dont care which one wins, hence me not voting

I've been voting for a Groundbreaking Season for quite a while now. Like MrMarlin said, double meaning. Breaking ground on the orange bowl, and breaking ground with our first NL East banner, surprising the league and breaking through. I thought it was obvious that's what it stood for... guess not. I think Fishing for October has been nominated several times in years past and has been tossed out consistently. Sounds like something I've heard before, quite often, and is wayyyy too cliche.

I have voted for Fishing for October since survey 1. HOORAY!

Ditto

The whole double meaning thing is a stretch...

And I agree "Fishing for October" is very cliche. Not a fan of that one either.

I say we bring back the math one :confused

That one is horrible! It just doesn't "add up!"

I did.

A Groundbreaking Season or Breaking New Ground should be our 2012 slogan.

Do you understand the meaning of breaking ground on a project?
