January 30, 200917 yr I think we have a good chance this year to pitch one. I can see a game Ricky is just locked in.
January 30, 200917 yr odd question, and i can't tell you if we do. Anybody can have a no hitter on any given night, even a Royals pitcher. All it takes is for a pitcher to be on fire one night, can't say if one of our guys will have that kind of night
January 30, 200917 yr Author Here's a better question, is Baker capable of calling a no-hitter? A lot depends on the catcher too.
January 30, 200917 yr Here's a better question, is Baker capable of calling a no-hitter? A lot depends on the catcher too. Yes he can, he handled the pitchers well last season which is another reason he's getting that starting spot. But i'd rather have all pitchers win at least 10 games then to have 1 No Hitter
January 30, 200917 yr Author Yeah, 10 game winners is a good goal but I realistically would like to see two pitchers close to 20 wins. This means we have a great season and probably have the division.
January 30, 200917 yr A No-hitter can't be predicted. There is absolutely no way of knowing when one can occur...so I don't really know how anyone can answer that question unless they were a fortune teller and had a crystal ball. If there's anyone that fits that description, please let me know what next weeks lottery numbers will be, Thanks.

January 30, 200917 yr Author No kidding, they can't be predicted smartass. Nothing can be really PREDICTED! Whose going to get hurt? Will Hermida show his promise? Will Miller make it through the season? Can you predict when your going to DIE?!?!
January 30, 200917 yr Who knows what would of happened in SF if Jacobs wasnt on first. Ricky gave up another hit later though, cleanly. Here's a better question, is Baker capable of calling a no-hitter? A lot depends on the catcher too. Baker called the aforementioned 2-hit complete game shutout.
January 30, 200917 yr It's ridiculous to predict whether or not this will happen. Some of the best pitchers of all-time haven't been able to throw no-no's in their career.
January 31, 200917 yr You don't need to be a top pitcher to be outstanding one night, anyone can throw a no-hitter. No-hitters = Unpredictable.
January 31, 200917 yr Author Everyone knows they're unpredictable. It's like taking a team like the Rays at the beginning of the season and saying they'll make the WS. That's the fun of it.
January 31, 200917 yr That's a question you shouldn't even ask. If it happens it happens. any given night.
February 1, 200917 yr A jinxing thread before the season even starts. Nice. not really, the title is unintelligible, borderline illiterate, that reverses the jinx in my book
