:bases_empty Bonifacio grounds to third, but could've walked on four pitches. He obviously needs to work on his eye.

I think he may have been safe...close play there, and no really good angles to see when the ball went in the glove...

oh well, on to the bottom of the 7th.

incredible play by Prado to throw out Bonifacio at first. Just another example of how the statistics don't tell the whole story. EB makes opposing defenses work... hard.

1-3 in the marlins order - 0-12

Well, good thing we have 6,7,8 hitters who are capable of producing! While we may struggle with inconsistency and (knock on wood) injuries, our lineup on paper does not have any glaring holes.

Don't forget 5. :mischief

I completly agree, we scored 5 runs with the top of our doing nothing, that is impressive.

This move to Dan Meyer = pointless.

Kiko gets 2 quick outs, yet now we need to bring in "LOOGY" Dan Meyer to face Garrett Anderson, who can't hit a thing right now. They'll probably counter with Matt Diaz now, anyways.

EDIT: Apparently Anderson has 2 doubles today, so forgive me for what I said up top. Still a pointless move, however.

First regular-season run at Yankee Stadium: Kelly Shoppach hits a double over Johnny Damon's head, scoring Ben Francisco from first. 1-0 Indians. :mischief

Yeah...he's also K'd 6 times in his last 8 AB's.

Don't you hate it when you fall asleep during the game? :banghead

Somehow I've seen all of our 5 runs today.

How did Anibal look in innings 3-5?

yeah because a baseball player MUST go 3 for 5 every night.

our hitting is garbage.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with our pitching.

The Braves weren't scoring 6.3 runs per game, and leading baseball with a .400 batting average with .RISP before this series, or anything.

he was able to get 2 outs quick in every inning, but then pitch horribly, but to the point where he only allowed one run in two of the innings. He struggled bad to get the third out. That has to be something mental. Maybe he's pressing?

nice work, Meyer.

lefty up next for Braves as well. Questionable move to take out Kiko, but its good to get some different guys some work to build confidence. Hopefully in the Nats series, we will not need to go to the 'pen too much, especially with 1-2-3 ready to go.
