Which he could have done it in a Marlins uniform...one of my all time faves. Congrats Sheff!

Congrats to Sheff, always was one of my favorites when I was a kid.

Come on, there is no place for Sheff on this team.

I know, what I meant though was that it would have been nice for him to get it wearing a fish uniform

Sheffield would never come back here. Our alternate jerseys that we always wear have too much silver and teal.

To be more straight forward, they're not all the way black.

Congrats to him. I wonder if he'll make the Hall on day.

Tim Kirkjian wrote a great piece on ESPN that says he should be in, which I certainly agree with.

I'm also quite certain he will be the first Florida Marlin represented in the Hall of Fame...

yea i remember whe ni was a kid i would always wanna do the sheff swing..well sheff deserves to get in the hall! and Sportscenter showed that Sheffield out of all the teams The Marlins are 2nd in which he hit the most homeruns in, dodgers being first.

Doesn't he have the Marlins record for most single-season home runs?

Sheff is the man

I had a signed bat of his, heavy bat I tell you, anyway, I sold it for $200 on ebay about 4 years ago. Oh...I wish I had kept it now.

Yes he still holds the record with 42 in 1996, also the OBP same year and Slugging %. Congrats on 500 Sheff.
